Mine is Ralph Fiennes, best known nowadays for his Voldemort in Harry Potter. I loved the movie Coriolanus (the Shakespeare play) and Red Dragon.

  10. My favourite actor is the super talented and hot Jake Gyllenhaal! I don't know how he does it, he's such a great guy and his acting versatility is extraordinary, like in the movies Nightcrawler, Zodiac, Stronger, and Enemy.

He can switch from cool, the nice guy, sleezy or serious in any movie or role he's needed.

  15. I have a few favorites, for different reasons. I'll try to put them in order, favorites first.

It's really hard to choose a favorite, because I love so many for different reasons. But if I had to place one above the others, Jensen Ackles stands above the rest, for me. He really tugs on the heartstrings and knows how to convey subtext really well. He's also very versatile... great comedic timing, he can be charming and handsome, awkward, sweet, serious, angry, goofy... he has great range. And as an added bonus, he's an amazing person in real life as well.

Sam Underwood is relatively unknown and underrated. He's incredibly talented. Definitely one of my top two favorite actors, for sure. I particularly loved him in The Following. There's also an adorable short film, about 12 minutes long, called Bus Stop, which I will post here if I can find it. He stars alongside his real-life-wife, Valorie Curry, in that film. :) I'm hoping he will be in more things now that he's been on Fear the Walking Dead and has a bit more recognition.

James McAvoy has climbed to the top of my list after Split. Some of the best acting I've ever seen in that film, honestly. I'm not sure anyone can top it for me.

David Tennant is incredible in pretty much everything, but especially Doctor Who. I was so attached to my first Doctor, and I was so not on board with the whole regeneration thing. But dang, Tennant just wiped all of that away instantly. He's so great.

Steve Carell has always been a favorite of mine. Especially for comedy (Michael Scott, one of my all time favorite comedic characters), but I think he's also pretty great in dramatic roles as well. I really liked him in Dan in Real Life and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

  16. Personally, I think he can still be your favorite actor. His acting skills have nothing to do with who he is as a person. Louis CK is still my favorite comedian, and Michael Jackson is the freaking King of Pop (although I still think MJ was a pretty good person, there were definitely a lot of crazy rumors out there).

  17. Omg I love David Tennant, he's so cute. :D

I've also liked Steve Carell's acting, he can be serious or funny. I need to watch The Office but don't think I can see that movie Seeking a Friend, I'm not ready to cry buckets. lol

I used to read up on an actor or actress when I was younger or my mum would tell me something bad they did, and I swore I wouldn't watch anything to do with them anymore. I realised eventually there was no point as somebody usually makes bad mistakes in their life accident or not, and the purpose of a movie is to get engaged with that fictional character and not the actor themselves.

The other issue I have is there is no way of knowing whether these are true or not, these allegations I keep hearing about are when they were teens so like 30 to 50 years ago for some. I don't remember what it was but people targeted Christopher Walken years ago trying to bring his career down, but that didn't stop me from loving him as an actor.
