I think I understand your mindset - when I was in my teens and early twenties, I was concerned that women would have issues if I were aroused with them, that it would be uncool or they'd be disgusted. It turns out that if most women, if they're with you, want you to be turned on. I think she's answered your question for you - the last guy she was with never got hard for her (gee, I wonder what might be a cause of that?), and now that she's with a guy who does get hard with her, I'll be she's a lot happier.
