yes these symptoms are normal for dopamine withdrawal. They will be around usually for the first month. I get really bad dopamine headaches sometimes. It isn't fun to when you have no motivation or energy to do anything.

These were my symptoms I experienced for eighteen months after going on hard mode, with no relapse, and I sure you can relate
    1) depression
    2) anxiety and panic attacks
    3) mood swings
    4) lack of motivation and loss of thrill from things that normally thrill you.
    5) difficulty paying attention and concentrating.
    6) problem with short term memory and working memory.
    7) temporary brain fog from time to time.
Due to 5) & 6) and possibly 7), one has difficulty reading and understanding effectively as normal people do. One finds oneself repeating the same lines or words in a book over and over again in order to commit to memory but it's virtually futile. Digesting new information/information out of the familiar is very difficult.
    8) forgetfulness.
    9) difficulty following up a conversation.

I also had the hot flashes you complained of. I guess we can agree that porn is the culprit.

No I didn't. Weed, alcohol and other illicit addictive drugs can also cause these. I never did any of them, I just did porn.

    Don’t underestimate porn.
Much more addictive and strong than weed.

And porn is the most strongest one, believe me.
    It has all the chemicals.

Despite what public thinks, I know porn is a formidable addiction that can mess up the brain. Can you relate to the symptoms I posted?

Don't be pissed, just two questions
    1) do you still have these symptoms and how long has it been since you quit?
    2) apart from porn addiction, did you engage in other addictions?

  11. Dude, I feel like I will be like you, everyone says they improve in like a month or two, I don’t know how much different I feel in two or three months abstinence. I hope I will be like you because I pray this is my problem and that I can recover

I don't believe in two months recovery. Maybe people are so used to porn that they don't know what it's like to be normal. These symptoms last a long time. Just be patient.

You have perfectly described my situation. Do you have any suggestions for improving concentration?

You mentioned that it took you 18 months of 'hardmode' for these symptoms start to disappear. I wonder do they disappeared suddenly or it was gradually process?

I think, talking more about the positive effects of withdrawal than negative ones, would help and motivate too :)

  18. You planted the seeds of recovery by being on this site. You lost a battle but eventually, you'll win the war.
