Does this happen to anyone else?

    Does anyone else think that sometimes people write stuff on here that is a little too explicit like some of the words they use? I was just reading some threads and a few posts I saw were almost like potential triggers because of some of the words being used and all. I was gonna report it but didn't know if it was the type of thing to report. Any opinions?

    It is a good point Johnny. The fact is that what is triggering to one person isn't to another. For example, I have seldom seen anything that triggers me personally. But I have reported things that I think may affect others. These things could be words or even inappropriate images, although not outright porn per se. If you wish to report something that bothers you, click the report icon and you can leave a brief message which a staff member will look at and make a decision.

    Thanks. I also happened to come across another trigger on another website tonight. I think I need to just get off the Internet and go to sleep before I come across something really triggering or something!

    We live in a stupid sexualised society, so avoiding triggers is not easy. One area that many mention is social media. If that has been a source of temptation in the past, deactivate your accounts and avoid them like the plague. Your brain needs the chance to heal and recover from what you have exposed it to. Try and find hobbies and activities to do that do not require an electronic device. Not easy, but it works and it is worthwhile. I am using art to do this myself. Try it! :)

    I think it was just that someone wrote something that I thought could've been more PG...some words were used that could've easily been changed that were used explicitly. Anyways I just gotta try to get it off my mind and have a good day today. As that was last night where I am. Even though I read the post again this morning, I still feel ok and doesn't bother me as much. I may report it or just leave it be and avoid it. Anyways, thanks for your input!

    And I did delete social media as well a few weeks ago. And I do find it made a difference!
