I was browsing the net yesterday and this picture came up of a girl, i usually immediately close the window but i looked at it for about 10 seconds before i decided it wasn't worth it and closed the window. I did not edge or touch my penis at all, got an erection though. Does this count as a relapse?

  2. I would say you positively exercised willpower in the face of temptation and ultimately said "No" by closing the window.

    No, assuming she wasn't naked.

Bro are you sure my progress has not been affected by this? because No she wasn't naked but i did start to fantasize a bit before closing the window. I did NOT edge at all and closed the window quickly before i lost control. Took a few deep breaths till the erection went away, took a cold shower and just came back from working out. I don't know why, but i feel extremely guilty. All these days, i've had 100% control over my urges and it would've been a shame if i had to reset my counter because of this.

  7. If you are ok with a liitle arousal and you remained in control... I.e. You didnt fap then don't reset.

If you used that as a trigger to lead to other things then reset.

Ultimately its you who decides what is right or wrong for your situation.

Ultimately, it's up to you. You set your own boundaries and you are responsible for your own counter.

Personally, I'd say no, you're fine, forget about it, move on. 10 seconds. Then, for me the most important part, "I decided it wasn't worth it…"

You didn't edge, you didn't masturbate.

You responded correctly. You have nothing to feel guilty about.

Now, ask yourself "What would I do differently if it happened again?". Then, the next time it does, implement that strategy. You've used this as a learning experience and moved on. Congratulations on your 73 days, btw. Good streak!

In my own opinion (considering I'm new to this) is that it's not the material that's the problem but what we do when we're presented with it.

Nudity is natural, sex is natural, admiring someone's body is natural... but turning someone into a fantasy object, dwelling on the idea and turning it into an escape could be a problem.

I think we need to define our own baseline. The world is a sexualised place, and we're all sexual creatures - so my guess is to not set a baseline so low that we need to shun the whole world in order to get well.

I agree with everybody. You're fine! You're a normal male who exercised appropriate discipline. Next time a pretty girl pops up, you'll know what to do. You're stronger for this experience.

I too agree with everyone who said it's not a relapse. Your mind will have thoughts pop up out of no where. You can't always control that but you can and need to control what you do next. You got triggered but you walked away. That's the key. Likewise, you may get an erection at times but it's what you do next that's most important. You didn't act on it and worked to bring it back down. That's the key. I think you should see this as a success, a victory!! You got majorly tempted but didn't act on it. Good job! Praise yourself rather than dogging yourself!

What a great testimony to the value of fapstinence, that men who are completing their initial challenge want to keep on going!
