I just started NoFap hard mode 4 days ago. So my opinion may not be respected. But, I would not reset your counter. During the couple days I have edged a couple times and even looked at some pornographic images for literally 30 seconds one time. I felt the rush starting and stopped. I treat it as a day you won, but wasn't the best victory. I didn't orgasm either time. I take it as an early lesson in the process to know that edging and trying to "innocently" look at porn are not good for rebooting and rewriting your brain. I'm treating the beginning says as time to commit myself but also learn what my limits are for the future. So for me, I wouldn't reset unless you o'd to the porn. Definitely avoid porn. Masturbate when you can control it later. I'm avoiding fapping to get to the 90 days and reboot my brain. But, I'm never not going to orgasm again. Preferably to sex but at the very least m'ing without porn when I choose to do so. But that will be later when I control my urges and tell them what to do. And, if you do relapse, treat it as a new beginning and start over. If you go 7 months and relapse for example that doesn't mean you go back to square one. You just take a few steps back. Remember that and keep it in perspective.

I did it yesterday, but I don't advice it at all.

    Why?

-The first obvious reason you should not do this is that you have a lot of risk to waste your sacred time of "Bushido", and trust me, it happened to me in the past, and I felt really depressed about this terrible waste of time and failure.

-Second reason: If like me you think that masturbation is a pathetic way to simulate the almost forbidden pleasure that is to have sex with a real girl (not with yourself, like a loser that must satisfy his pulsions while watching fucked up porn.), then don't do it, stay strong and keep a part of your dignity.

-Third reason: if you do it while watching porn, or even without it by thinking of fucked up porn you might just keep your brain drowned by the fantasms you're trying to delete off your brain, to rewire your brain, if you prefer. This is just a theory of me, I'm not scientist, I can't bring facts.

So for me, I'd say you shouldn't reset your counter, coz in the end you resisted to the goal of masturbation and porn, the orgasm. I would just advice that if you did it, don't do it again, for all these reasons, and especially the first reason I brought. Stay strong and positive, past is past, you can't come back, just learn from your errors of the past. Don't isolate, socialize the most you can, go out with your friends, have fun, and try to socialize with girl even if it's really, really, really, hard. But eventually the more you socialize the more you'll be comfortable to speak with peoples, including girls. Peace everyone.

No it's not. But stay away from it, your still feeding your brain porn even tho your not MO. The brain is what needs to be healed.

    A big YES.
You are doing nofap to recalibrate your brains dopamine secretion.
By edging ,you are defeating yourself.
    Edging is a huge relapse.
