Fapstronauts might be interesting in this documentary which will air on the UK's Channel 4 on Monday Sept 30th @ 10 p.m. GMT. I don't have access to this channel but maybe it will be available on the website after the TV broadcast

I've watched this documentary and would recommend it. A lot of the issues raised are brought up here on a daily basis. The presenter is a former editor of Loaded, a UK men's magazine which specialised in titillating and erotic images of women. He said at the start that, although he had watched porn in his younger days, he gave up when he got married and settled down.

A few key highlights from the programme:
    1. The presenter sits down in front of a laptop near the start and starts to search for porn. He is taken aback by how extreme and often violent present-day porn is compared to what he saw as a youngster (early 1990s). This extreme porn is also free and easy to find, whereas in the past porn was expensive and difficult to obtain.
    2. He is skeptical about claims that porn can be addictive. However, he engages a nuero-scientist at Cambridge to undertake some research which involves MRI scans of porn addicts and a control group. The porn addicts' brains react in the same way to porn as other addicts react to drugs, alcohol etc.
    3. He meets with a self-confessed PMO addict who bravely goes on camera to tell his tale. This guy appears normal on the surface but openly admits that porn has fucked up his life.
    4. To wrap up, he argues that the only solution is educating children and young people about proper sexual behaviour. Filters and bans simply will not work.

    Well worth a watch.

Apparently, US viewers can't view the program. We are told that "the service is not currently available in your area".

It is probably geoblocked. A proxy IP address would get around that.
