No it's not natural at all. It literally does not happen in nature. It may be normal for some teenagers that don't have control over a new body function, but a sexually matured MAN ejaculating in sleep is abnormal.

Wet dreams can be controlled but many use them as a pressure release valve to make nofap easier, which defeats the purpose of nofap.

That's quite untrue, and I don't know where you got that information. But I'm not here to start an argument. Good luck!

  3. To those who say it's unnatural. Ask your siblings, parents and grandparents about it ;)

  4. I once managed to prevent an ejaculation in a dream, but then had it the next night. I'm convinced it has a purpose, in any case it's much more natural than PMO.

Rubbish! Do some reading and stop spreading lies... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nocturnal_emission#In_males

  6. Guys, it is simple, a child who got puberty and didn't enter PMO zone will get beautiful sexual dreams from time to time and he or she will wake up with a wet dream. That child will not feel regret, will not feel tired, will not even think he is freak. He will just feel Relaxation, then have a shower and start his or her day.

Now for a PMOer, as in my experience, PMO will prevent and stop the release of wet dreams. Why? Because there is an external unnatural and unhealthy way that occupied the position of wet dreams. I personally didn't get wet dreams since last 2 and half years. And that time i got it once or twice after like 7+ years due to PMO. Also yoy will feel all this regret and pain and fatigue. You will be unhealthy.

There are those paid or ignorant as*hol*s of Drs and "researchers" who say that we need to masturbate because it is healthy and required to refresh our orgasms, while in fact this is the job of our body to do not our hands, which is the wet dreams.

Finally, there is another proof that wet dreams are natural which is the religious proof, you may check your information about what your doctrine as a jew, Christian or Muslim, says about wet dreams and how to deal with them.

And seriously ask anyone from your family members about it they will tell u that they get it.

I found this post on NoFap reddit from 5 years ago:

"A common theme I see in a lot of posts here is the tendency to, after a relapse, go on a binge for the next couple of days. The mentality that if you’ve already failed you might as well take advantage of it to the fullest. In doing this I think what a lot of us fail to realize is that, even though we’ve relapsed, it doesn’t mean that all our effort during the past days or weeks were in vain. Our brain is very plastic and has a remarkable ability to quickly change itself. Even if you haven’t gone the full 90 days, you’ve still given your brain a lot of time to rewire itself. One relapse does not completely reverse that. I know that some of you out there have some serious issues with PMO addiction and can’t possibly go more than a couple of days without relapsing, but remember that even if you manage to go only 3 or 4 days without it, it’s still a huge improvement over doing it once or several times a day. For every day and every hour you abstain, you’re giving your brain precious time to heal.

You need to treat your recovering brain as you would a broken leg. Let’s say you break your leg and the doctor tells you that you have to wear a cast and not put any weight on the leg for 6 weeks. Imagine that after 3 weeks you’re in a hurry and accidentally put all your weight on it. It hurts a lot and you’re afraid you might have caused more damage to it. What’s the best thing to do in this scenario? Probably avoid putting any more strain on the leg and give it time to heal. The same goes for NoFap, but when you binge after a relapse it’s basically like saying “Well, I already injured my leg. I might as well go run a marathon with it now.”

I personally wouldn't consider an wet dream to be an relapse. As I did not make an conscious decision to MO. How you handle yourself though after an relapse is important. You could either:
    - Beat yourself up, lose all confidence, give up then go back to PMO (The true relapse).
    or
    - Come to terms that your body is doing its thing naturally. Know that you made progress on your NoFap journey, and not letting it set you back. And most importantly knowing that you will continue to better yourself as in individual outside of NoFap.

That said resetting your counter is up to the individual. Me personally I would say no. To me I see it as an counter tracking the number of days you've not used P to M to O, not an relapse counter. Most Hardmode individuals will probably argue with me. But all I can say is good luck to them. Most will let an counter dictate their journey, and after resetting it many times they will probably quit and go back to their old ways of PMO (hence all those 'Deleted accounts').

Its sometimes painful after a wet dream and urges become sky high. Any suggestions in such situations. Its feel like all functions in brain are blocked by PMO addiction. I dont know why, i still find a solution for this..

No. You don't watch porn, masturbate nor orgasm during a wet dream. It is completely involuntary, while PMO'ing certainly is. In fact, it can be seen as a sign of progress. Keep moving.

I just had a wet dream this morning for the first time in over 6 years during my current streak of 26 days. It feels like a relapse, but I then again it was my first in 6 years so it may be my mind and body rebalancing.

  11. All this talk about natural, lets do a cross-section here -
you ride in a car - not natural
you fly on a plane - not natural
you ride a skateboard - not natural
you poop sitting on a toilet - not natural
you sleep is soft bed - not natural
you stay inside most of the day - not natural
you drink any beverage in grocery store - not natural
you eat banana in most of North America - not natural

I can do this all day, 90% of what you do daily if not more is not natural and all of that seems normal to you? Yet ejaculation at nigh is indefinably a problem - riveting...

Some people are born with 6 fingers on their hands, some have tails, some have 35 nipples or fused legs, some can digest foods others cant and so on.

There is nothing natural or unnatural to begin with, biology is diverse, flexible and constantly adapting system, we are in the process of adapting to our environment every day as long as we exist.

So back to our topic - ejaculation at night is just ejaculation at night. It is not natural or unnatural it is just ejaculation at night, we know it happens, we know it caries no ill effects.

"Natural/normal" also implies functionality. So no, ejaculation at night is not natural/normal, it's a disorder. Shitting or peeing yourself at night is a disorder, even if it's "natural/normal" (by your logic) cause it happens.

  13. I have one issue with what you are saying, you are calling ejaculations at night a disorder, which implies that reproductive system is not in order or in simple terms - not working properly.

Majority of men experience ejaculations at night with varying frequency and have perfectly functioning healthy reproductive systems. So "part of normal operation" would fit better than "disorder".

If you have scientific research to indicate that is not the case - please share I would love to examine that information.

My experience with wet dreams: probably only one or two I can remember ever from way back (I am now 55) and I had one about 50 days into my hard reboot. And I was not even aware that it had taken place (no erotic dream, no feeling of pleasure) until the wetness woke me up. So no way I am resetting my counter on that! I have also not had any more since then.

  17. I respect your opinion, just do not push it as truth. Calling something a disorder is serious and doing so without merit is deceptive and unethical.

And you forgot to include any valid research that would even merit your views.

Just take a look at yourself please. You come here lecturing me on how it's "my opinion" and how i have to provide sources, but you don't provide any sources. Unlike you, I actually read about this before posting.

You say absurd stuff like "Majority of men experience ejaculations at night with varying frequency" with 0 sources then you tell me about how i have "opinions". lol

First of all, it's extremely easy to literally google "nocturnal emission frequency" to actually learn something. There is no such thing as a "majority of men having them with varying frequency". It's a behavior that usually happens in adolescence. IF it happens, because some boys/men never have it.

Many men have had a wet dream at some point in their life time. Usually in adolescence because they don't have control over a new function of their body (sexual apparatus). That doesn't mean it's normal for a sexually mature adult to have them regularly.

  19. I actually do not need to pull sources, as I am not arguing for or against. I clearly stated that am questioning your "disorder" calcification so people that read what you said, question it as well.

And by the way you still did not provide any scientific research that points to harm caused by nocturnal emission if they do happen in healthy adults and without such data any labeling as "disorder" is baseless.

I am not trying to change your opinion, you are free to believe what you like. Just say - "I think nocturnal emission indicate a disorder and are abnormal" and not "nocturnal emission is a disorder and are abnormal".
One is your opinion and the other is statement of fact.

When you make factual statements - you better be ready to back them up. Your statements are reviewed by your peers.
Because factual statements form beliefs in people that do not question them and opinions just offer feedback and possibly insight. Two very different things.

Did you have any pornographic dreams? Do you recall what thoughts or decisions you had in the dream?
