I agree with you @noonoon Some of these guys are not even gay or bisexual. They don't find the other men romantically or physically attractive. The only thing that turns them on is the sex. I don't find men attractive romantically or physically, but the pleasure I receive from the addiction has me crossing boundaries that's against my orientation which makes me want to fuck anything probably even animals if I got the chance too Addiction leads you deep and society doesn't understand.

That was what I thought too, 100% straight until 32 years. Had plenty of opportunities to make out with guys, but I am totally into girls and wasn´t interested the slightest bit. When guys approached me, I would politely make clear, that I have zero interest (not like a raging homophobe who is secretely turned on by guys). Nothing of the male body appealing and not for a million would I fuck with a guy or suck his cock etc.

Until I realized recently, new porn categories are slowly warping my desires. I have now cocks in my mind and start thinking about dating guys. Again, I had the opportunities in real life many times, but had zero interest - only after the brainwashing of new porn categories I was recently watching this interest started to exist at all.

I looked at pictures of many nude guys and felt not the slightest arousal, but after watching new porn categories, I tried to watch the same pictures again and then some of the guys miraculously turned me on. Porn can warp the sexual orientation, period!

I am still 90% into women, but I thought this was not possible, that I would be even turned 10% into guys. And my bet is, if I would watch more of that porn for years, I might turn fully gay.

And btw, "straight" porn still has men in it, so as a gay man you probably have not much chance, that it turns you straight. Maybe it would be a better try, if you watched females masturbating or lesbian porn, imagine pleasuring them and you jerk off thousand times to it, while affirming that you love girls.

 

Having read many posts, I wondered whether my addiction to chatrooms was what made me love men. But I was seeing things the wrong way round. Just as straight guys find that porn gives them access to hundreds of babes, chatrooms were providing me with a sea of masculinity I could drown in. In any case, it's not like I started out chatting to females then drifted to men (then somehow to masturbating to pictures of hot guys!)

What makes sense is that, just like straight guys, I was experiencing an artificial and very toxic sexuality. The parallels between our experiences actually helped me understand that I truly love men. I've felt the same transition from seeing a hot person as an artificial sexualised being to a real human to be loved.

My painful experience has at least revealed to me my true sexuality. Fulfilment is to be found in seeking out its true, genuine expressions.

 

The question 'did porn make me gay' can't really be answered by anyone other than the person asking the question since sexuality is such a deeply personal and integral part of who we are. I've seen gay porn but it didn't turn me on at all, i've seen every category of porn you can shake a stick at from A to Z from legal to illegal, i had no 'off' button and was more indiscriminate the further down the rabbit hole i went, the more drugs i took and the more time i spent. We get to a point in our addictions and compulsions where the images stop being people and become novelty moving from one category to another like a kid in a candy store with an unsatiable hunger and unlimited supply of sweets. I think the only way to truly understand your sexuality is by being with real people face to face, how do you feel when you are around them, when you talk to them could you imagine spending the rest of your life with this type of person or that type as opposed to just someone to shag for kicks.

I could watch scenes with multiple men and women in but rather than be turned on by any individual, for me it was just the spectacle, the 'show' the experience that i found interesting. Porn might help some people understand things about their sexuality but in general it's a really poor indicator due to the process of desensitisation and the allure of endless novelty, pretty much all of the categories i viewed, i only viewed them because they were just different from the last, so it was definitely a novelty thing for me rather than any sense that I was somehow just expressing my sexuality. I wouldn't do half the things i've seen in porn to other people, in the same way if i watch a horror movie, it's entertaining but no normal person would actually go out and try and replicate it

 

Nothing can make anyone gay, you are born gayx or bix or pansexual, anyway, sexuality is different for everyone, and only you know your own feelings, and whatever they are, they should make you happy.

There are many porn induced fetishes and in my opinion homosexuality is no exception. Years ago gay porn would repulse me, but after escalating through other porn categories, now gay is slightly arousing. I guess if I would watch more and more porn, I could be turned more into men, the heck, some people are turned into shit eaters, want to fuck donkeys, want that she tramples on his penis with high heels etc etc - they were not like that from birth.

I just think sexuality is not black and white, people stand on different ends of the spectrum, and unless they explore those possibilities they cant know for sure what they fully are.

Maybe a person is mostly straight, but under certain circumstances he or she can be a little gay, or a whole lotta gay, it really depends again, on where you stand on the spectrum.

Judging someone by the content they view is like saying to someone that because they watched a film with a murder scene in they must be a murderer or because they watch football they must be a pro footballer, both can be true and false. People are shaped by the experiences they have in life, much of the extreme end of porn that people get into is learned behaviour and they key is to unlearn it, take a step back and re-assess yourself as a human being. When i first started looking at pictures on the net many years ago it was all super model stuff and erotic nudes, fast forward multiple years and as the content became more extreme, easier to access and my interest wained for tame content i progressed onto more bizarre stuff, i saw things that from a teenager or young adult i couldn't even have imagined people would do to each other... like your previously mentioned categories. I think it's a case of people don't like to admit they were wrong, i admit i was wrong about the stuff i viewed, no it wasn't acceptable or healthy and i no longer make excuses for it, in the past my view would have been, 'oh well it's just entertainment isn't it and the performers enjoy it so what's the harm' what sane human enjoys having poo smeared on their body or being urinated on or having their balls trampled on by a transvestite?

When I first saw golden shower porn, I really felt sorry for the people who were peed on, I would gag watching such stuff out of curiosity, just like some people would stare at casualties of a terrible accident. Then I felt neutral and after watching more porn it aroused me.

I have to disagree with you. I knew I liked boys before I even watched porn. I’ve watched lesbian porn before, and women masturbation. I was curious, but I still have no interest into girls. So really you are still born the way you are. Without porn I mean. If it stop watching porn and get turned on by other guys than well you are gay.

I can tell you that the vast majority of stuff i have seen in the past was presented to me as an option amongst the many other categories and without discrimination i just consumed it all up. I just don't think peoples porn viewing is always a true indicator of who they really are, i mean how absurd would it sound if I , a man told you i think i'm a lesbian because i keep watching lesbian porn? and everyone be like, but wait, you're a guy? how can it possibly be? are you a woman trapped in a mans body? or if i told you 'hey I think im African cos i just can't get enough ebony porn' but i'm white. You might get a thrill viewing that stuff but i believe our sexuality is better understood by how we interact with real people in the the real world.

The born this way argument seems a bit much. The celibate priest and the scat loving hedonist both supposedly born that way with no influence from their environments. The born this way argument seems to claim that whatever the most depraved act is you have done in your life is what you are. Would the same apply to a period of celibacy would this then be who you are?

 

Agree with themadfapper, straight sex isn´t taboo or even forbidden normally, while the excitement of the taboo may play a big role for rewiring the brain.

I read that in columbia, the boys are taught, that fucking donkeys will make their penis grow. Many men there fall in love with them and prefer them over women. And that seems to be no fake, there are documentaries about it.
I believe many people can be brainwashed into almost everything, only some people may be fully immune to it.

This is a misunderstanding, at least I am not against gay people. When I and others here say, that sexuality is at least for many people fluid, it does not mean I hate gay men.

And again, I don´t exclude that there can be people who are totally hardwired 100% gay from birth and are immune to influences from porn or society.
The other people CAN be influenced more or less, we see this in all the threads on this forum, where people who considered themselves 100% straight are confused about their sexuality, but only after watching new categories of porn (for example hypnosis porn). Or for example lesbians being confused after getting off to gay-men porn.

In my opinion it would be naive not to see, that society (this can also be ancient societies) and what you experience and see (for example porn) could have a big influence.

And if somebody feels, that this influence affects him in a harmful way, he should stay away from porn - that´s what I want to say, spreading hate is not my intention.
