day 77 & still attached

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Deleted Account, Oct 11, 2018.

  1. My attachment is still there. As much as i want to pretend it's not the last week has been a struggle. I've found myself google searching porn & edging for 2-3 minutes then snapping out of it, but it's happened 4 or 5 times in the last week.
I've been here before, i have had multiple 100+ day streaks and have fallen over and over. This is more a confession than anything, i feel like 5-10 bad minutes in the last 77 days doesn't justify a full counter reset as I haven't gone on hour long binges while edging, or orgasmed. I've snapped out of each one of them relatively quickly. I always struggle greatly around this time mark.
I feel torn in half like my rational side is at war with my reptilian mind. The last thing i want to do is start over.
    I need some encouragement..
Relapse isn't an option i keep telling myself. Why is it so god damn difficult..

  8. Don't feel hopeless that's the last thing i want to make others feel. I was just a little down on myself is all. If i look back over the years since i joined this community my progress has been slow, but steady. From looking at the stuff every day almost, sometimes multiple times a day, to where i am now, it's been quite a journey.
I'm exactly where you are, 15 years of this shit.. what was i expecting, of course it's going to take time. It grabbed me as a kid and stuck its claws in deep. It's going to take persistance i know that.

Thanks alot everyone for the support, it really lifted me up.

  10. You are a an ex-PMOer, but your mind hasn't got the memo yet.
There is this "SPAM REMOVED (spam code #001) - REPORT TO MODERATION" based on Allen Carr's Easy Way of Quitting smoking, retroeditted for PMO addiction.
I believe you would benefit from the knowledge base it provides. As you clearly have the will power in you. Getting the clarity, will God Willing, set you free for life.
Do not use PMO at all whilst reading the book since you are an ex-PMOer right now, your path to becoming a real non-PMOer only requires clarity of the mind. :)

You need to reach a point where you can live with your urges and temptations without acting on them. Constantly fighting urges by using willpower just doesn't work. Eventually you will give in to the urge.
