I just want to document this as I never celebrate my success.
Its day 5 and yesterday I hit a wall, hard. Tbh I came here to just abstain from porn but very quickly realised I will benefit from no masturbating in general too. Yesterday was such an awful day, I went to a dark place. All we are is the moment we're in and our minds are so powerful, it's difficult to see passed what your going through when it's that intense. Gladly I'm telling you that I came out the other side of this 1st wall and in doing so, I have a bit more clarity. Im understanding that PM helped me escape my own mind and that it also is quite damaging and I can find other ways.
I know 5 little days don't seem like a lot, but I'm seeing what happened yesterday and the fact that I got over the wall as a landmark in taking back control and finding me again.
Yesterday made me realised just how reliant I've become on PM, I really didn't think it'd be this hard, I just thought I'd give myself this challenge as it'll be healthy.
Physically I'm finding myself with a really distracting dull ache, just to draw attention to itself as it's getting none, it would be so easy to succumb. Don't get me wrong, I could murder a good wxxk right now but I don't have to, I don't want to (well, you know what I mean!) And I'm not going to.
Friday will be day 7 of my 7 day PM free challenge (baby steps and manageable bites) and I'm already looking forward to moving into the 14 day version.
See you Friday all you awesome people. Xxx

Well done brother, the earliest battles are the toughest but your reward was pure treasure, you’ve realised who the enemy is. Sharing your win inspires us all that this is doable. Forgive the whole battle thing after all i am the celtic warrior lol.

Thank you Celtic Warrior, I'm your sister though, not your brother, hence the name Betsie lol.

    I love the battle analogies.

This sounds so naive but I really didn't think I was that addicted and that it would be so hard, but things that are worth it usually are I guess. It's amazing what you can find out about yourself if you try new things.

    Stay strong bro.
