Confession: I've never had a wet dream

You are not guaranteed to have them. A small number of males never have them, even when they don't cum for extended periods. But you are likely to get some when you cum-deny yourself. When I abstain, my wet dream cycle occurs once every 10-14 days. Usually, the day before or the day of the wet dream I get mega horny. Of course, the risk of relapse is high. But if I manage not to give into my sexual urges then I will get a wet dream. They are sexually graphic dreams and the subconscious scenario produces an erection and then ejaculation/orgasm. It probably will, especially if you don't MO. Bear in mind, sometimes it can literally a porn dream and it feels like relapsing. They also come with chaser effects that can lead to a relapse because it makes you more horny.

They can be pleasant, but I've had more unpleasant ones than pleasant ones. The best part is that they do indicate a return to sensitivity and healing. I never really had them before Nofap either, but they're natural and once you get the first one you can be sure that stuff's going the way it should. Otherwise I wouldn't worship the fact that you're having them.

Some do, but I don't wake up at the time I get the wet dream. I just find semen on my sheets in the morning and a fading recollection of a dream in which you did something you've always dreamed of. That's the thing, they are not just mild sexual dreams, they are full-on and intensely erotic - they have to be to achieve an ejaculation/orgasm without any physical stimulation whatsoever.

 

Be prepared. keep clean up stuff by the bed. I used to MO into my shorts or sweats and roll over and go to sleep and never be bothered by it. If I would wet dream into my sweats, no problem. If you sleep naked and wet dream onto your sheets, that might be difficult to just ignore. Unless you've got a big bed and can just slide over to the other side. Or if you kick your wife out of bed and sleep on her side.

 

Vertigo, you are 48 and having wet dreams at day 10-14? Is that correct? If so, that is great. btw, do you have any semen leakage when you pee or poop? I have leakage and have wondered if that would prevent the build up of semen to have a wet dream. Any thoughts?

 

I do occasionally get semen leakage. As far as I understand it, the body removes a little excess semen that way, some is absorbed back into the body, but if you are full to the brim, the subconscious mind will trick the body into thinking it is having great sex and erection, ejaculation and orgasm follow.

I have not had that happen. And if it ever did, i am not sure how I would ever know. I have never gone looking for semen in my stool. My semen has always leaked though my penis.

 

Don't worry, I'm in my 20s and I've only had two wet dreams in my whole life. Both occurred during periods in which I didn't masturbate or have sex for over a week.

 

I've been fapping for most of my post pubescent life and I never experienced a wet dream. During nofap I managed to go to 30 days, but still not even a hint of a wet dream

I think it will take a lot of days of abstinence to get wet dreams happening again but like someone said in this thread, there's no guarantee that it'll ever happen

I get them whenever I go more than a week without masturbating, Aslong as you wear underwear to bed than the mess isn't as bad, they feel great but it sucks if you don't wake up when they happen (or worse dream that you clean it up) cus then in the morning its a real mess

My advice is to try and go at least a few weeks without masturbating and see if you get one.

 

I think I've only had one in my entire life. Interesting you mention wanting to get one because the other day I went to sleep naked hoping to get one (not really caring about the cleanup). Didn't get it but try not to focus on it. It might happen when you don't expect it.

Also, have you considered Lucid Dreaming. Look it up. It's being able to control your dreams to some extent.

The good thing about them is just that they remind you of not having masturbated for a time.

 

Interesting about the lucid dreaming. I have had sexual dreams in the past but always felt like I was in control of them and made sure not to ejaculate. Only twice have I had a wet dream but I don't remember dreaming at all which is weird.
