Completely Convinced Porn Is Problematic.

Discussion in 'New to NoFap' started by Deleted Account, Jun 24, 2019.

  1. TL DR - Done my research, viewed loads of testimonies from passionate porn stoppers, if you are a skeptic like me please seek out the info on what porn does to you.

I have been a PMO addict for about 9 years, - Currently 26 years old.

I have always had issues in liking Anime girls too much and i have chased fantasy relationships. Felt guilty lusting over real women but i bounce back and fourth between real and fake women because the brain looses interest with the same type of porn and
proceeds to crave other types of porn.

.Researched a LOT on NoFap around mid May 2019, i commited myself to avoid porn and i knew i was in the right -(Felt less fearful, more sensitive to Life, felt like i had a 2nd chance like my stone heart was melting) I always knew porn was wrong but i never thought about the litteral effects it has on our brains.

.After my commitment, i Relapsed after 8 days - spent the next month up until now not motivated to keep myself in check. (Social Anxiety started overpowering me again)

.Why did i fail? - I failed to recognize i am still a Recovering Addict, i still love the drug. I lied to myself by saying i didn't want it anymore when i still do.

I am at my most vunerable after 1 week, so I hope to cut myself from Social Media starting 1st July for either July only or for 90 days. I am doing this to give myself a head start with less temptations. After said 90 days, i am aware that upon going back i will have the same temptations but at least i can get a perspective of what a "NoFap" life feels like.

Where am i now? - I love, love anime women and i fantasize a lot. I know this is not healthy but now i am going to be honest: i love "virtual girl junk food" but it won't help me get better.

My earnest wish is to one day write in the Success Stories section some day. Then i can look back on this post and realize my efforts were not in vain.

    Thank you for reading.
