    Hey. Im not a big fan of typing loads and going into too much detail but ive bewn watching hardcore porn for 4 years now and usually jerk off alot of times in a week. Only just come to relise that now thats the only thing that turns me on. The thought of this panicks me and makes me frightened to when i actually want to have sex. I was wondering if this scheme will actually benefit me.

    Yes, it will absolutely will help with this issue.

    When I'm consistent at abstaining, the extreme/unhealthy fantasies begin to fade away, and I become aroused by more genuine, healthy stimuli.

    So, do you get hard from just watching the porn, or do you have to jack off with the porn to get hard? I honestly never got hard from watching porn myself, had to stimulate myself to it.

    If I've relapsed, then I won't get hard on my own.

    Again really, the longer you allow your brain to heal the better the results including erections from just thoughts. If I maintain good habits i'll get hard from just talking to someone I find attractive.

    Glad that you are doing well and starting to feel benefits. But now is a time to be wary and careful. At times, our journeys seem easy and we start to think "no problem, I've got this". That's when trouble starts. We can become over confident and think that we won't fall prey to temptations or urges. Not so. We need to be vigilant every day to stay strong. The other thing that happens as streaks get longer is that we start to forget the WHY of your journeys. When we start to lose sight of our goals - our "why I am on my noFAP journey" - our motivation can lag and resets and relapses often follow. Don't let that happen ! Think about how YOU can - and will - keep your goals and objectives fresh in your mind each day. Some folks write them down and look at their notes each day. Some post here every day and re-read their first post that typically tells their "why" story. Whatever you choose to do to keep your goals fresh in your mind is fine - but none work unless you do them. So, what will you do ?

    Another trap to be wary of is the "equipment checking". Given time to heal, your body and your mind will heal. There is no need to check your progress to see how your body now behaves, so don't be tempted to MO to find out ! And on the mental side - whatever you do, don't "test" your resolve and "strength" by viewing P; its a sure road to ruination and trouble. Bottom line: If you go looking for trouble, you'll find it and the results won't be good !
    What will you do when urges strike ? Now is the time to prepare your defenses; its too late to think about what you'll do when facing urges. The time to prepare is now.
