Can't block YouTube using K9. Help?

    Hey guys,

I installed K9 today, succeeded in blocking P content. Also decided to block YouTube as a whole, since K9 can't hide individual videos/search results (and you know the filter on YouTube is useless for us self-moderators). I added the URL for YouTube on the "Always Block Lists", but it doesn't work.

And crap, I just noticed K9 doesn't block image results on Bing. This is terrible...

It would be awesome if you could help me with these K9 problems. Also if you know any other useful blocking tools, please let me know. Thanks

Block also Bing and change default search to Google.

I believe there are options within K9 to regulate Youtube specifically. Might check into that.

    Thanks M.C. !
I think I've already checked that option, but I'll take a look at it again. For now I'm going to block it using Open DNS(weaker than K9 but it'll work for now), as well as limit my usage time to 30 min/day.

Are you using a windows computer? You can block servers so you cant access it

    Hi Iggy,
Yes I am actually. I've temporarily blocked YouTube and other browsers using Open DNS, which involved changing my IP address, is that what you mean?

Love "Roll the Dice" by the way :)

Theres a ' hosts ' file in system 32 where you can put servers in and your operating system blocks them everywhere.. I was going to sendyou a youtube video how to do it..

Clear out your cookies and that should do the trick. If need be, empty your browsing history. That worked for me.
