Can an obsessive arousal to nonnude 18yrold girls grow darker?

let me start off to say I have had a strong arousal to flawless looking females teasing in short shorts, belly shirts, skirts, tight jeans ever since I could remember. It is safe to say that 90 percent of my PMO is usually over them posing in pic sets or having sex and being partially clothed. That being said all of my visuals have usually been college girls (let’s face it, they just wear this stuff better). But thanks to the internet everything that I look at headlines the words “barely legal”. 18 yr olds etc.... to the point where I am stroking like an obsessed mad man over non nude girls who look very young that I’m desperate to make sure I see the words barely legal to reassure myself that it is ok to stroke.

To feel safe I focus most of my porn time looking at porn stars that fill that craving for me... but is this just going to get worse? Can anyone relate at all?

    Hi!

First of all PMO is not a good idea. I am desperately trying to cure myself from it.

There is no one ultimate answer for your question. There are many possibilities...

Once I read about a guy who was so obsessed with the young ladies that eventually he arranged a meeting with one in some public place. It went totally wrong because everything was monitored by police. I don’t remember if he was send to prison, but the story is IMO scary and shows where the Lust can take you.

You are here, thus try with some small steps, it probably won’t be easy, but after a couple days with superpowers maybe you’ll change your life...

I will keep my fingers crossed!

  3. I guess you have the most vanilla of all sexual likes. Young women are obviously attractive. You understand that the women you would want to have sex with have to be of legal age. I don't think there is any problem with that. I don't think it will necessarily get worse. There is no scientific reason why you will certainly slide down the path to child pornography from where you are.

I don't know how old you are. If you are already, lets say, past 30 and you constantly think of those girls, you may get into the mindset that your sexual partners have to look like them. That would not be a realistic approach and could lead to problems.

By all means, get rid of your porn habits, but I think your sexual preferences are pretty unproblematic.

  4. I would agree with Hard Candy here. I was following a similar path to yours, the whole 'barely legal' trip, and I'm not proud of the internet places I eventually ended up in.

Sex addiction is progressive and gets worse with time if left unchecked. At some point you won't be satisfied with the vanilla photos (your dopamine response will level off) and you'll move onto something racier to achieve that same dopamine hit. And so on and so on. Its a form of conditioned response and when it comes to P its very insidious, because you're not always aware of how your tastes are changing.

Having said that, I don't know for certain if this leads everyone down the same road of looking for illegal material, but safe to say, it doesn't bode well if 'barely legal' is the relative starting point.

The best thing you can do is quit it cold turkey, hole up here for several months and just get some distance on this. Really the best thing is just quit and don't go back, it doesn't get any better if you keep on with it. It does get better though if you quit, (if very slowly).

I realize I'm playing armchair psychiatrist here, but as they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

    I would totally disagree....
His sexual preferences are very problematic. He's got a behavioral addiction. Behaviors esculate when the root cause isn't identified & dealt with.
Eventually, it could esculate into some really shady territory.

You're ultimately jackin it to pixels on a screen. Wouldn't you rather have a real relationship?

  8. I really don't see the empirical evidence that this HAS to happen. It does not happen to most people. Many people watch a bit of porn and don't have any problems with it, they don't start to watch child pornography.

I have watched an incredible amount of porn myself, have a bit of a humiliation fetish and an interest in BDSM. I have still maintained my abhorrence of violence against women. In decades of excessive porn consumption, I have always shut off every video clip that depicted violence. Sure, I have also looked at young models but I would have never wanted to see children. I am sure I am not the only one. Yes, some people may degenerate under the constant influence of porn, but the notion that this will inevitably happen is a myth.

Yeah, people like me. The difference is, I wouldn't use it to escape from my life or to validate my worthiness. It's not my "blankie". I face my problems head on instead of running, because that's what I learned as a child.
There is a reason one turns to porn & porn isn't the reason....
Was this your brain justifying your habit? Does it make it any less problematic that you have control right now to hit the x & close out? Don't you ever wonder why you are interested in humiliation & BDSM?
They don't degenerate at the constant use of porn, they degenerate because they have something internal going on that they feel the need to use porn to make them feel better. Degeneration happens when the true cause goes undetected.

Thanks everyone for help. I think it all stemmed from way back as a kid I was completely enthralled with barely legal hustler magazines that showed the young bodies (well older then me back then) perfectly flawless in provocative outfits leading to nudity or sex. Then the age of the internet arrived and they were everywhere teasing me and I wanted more and more. My escalation happened thanks to a certain -hardcore- porn producer who dressed up barely legals in provocative outfits and sexually degraded them.. I was on that phase for years, then it just got plain stupid. I also am not sure if it is considered HOCD or not but the other escalation was always finding other like minded (perverts?) online and masterbated together while looking at pics and vids....

  12. You expressed that far better than me. I agree with you on that point. Porn does not make people do something, it is always people's choices.

I agree it is not inevitable.

Yet there is a pattern of escalation among those addicted to porn. It is rare that an individual will begin their porn consumption with extreme and taboo genres of porn. The science behind this is the Coolidge Effect that I mentioned previously. So, yes, science does explain this phenomenon. However, I did not intend to imply that it HAS to happen.

Lots of us can relate, just like the near-duplicate thread you posted before. But I'm intrigued by the tense you use. "Most of my porn time" What? Why are you still talking about your porn time in the present tense? How can it escalate if you stop using porn? What's going on?

Wtf you talking about bruh? Porn time is over. And I don't think its weird in the slightest to be attracted to 18 year old girls.

    Hi,
Yeah, I can relate. My porn addiction began with the two most popular Men's magazines, escalated to more hardcore magazines, from there to xxx videos, continued to escalate once I discovered internet porn and ended with me being sent to prison for child porn. You're very possibly on a slippery slope here.
Those "Barely Legal" sites can lead to illegal sites which will almost certainly lead to prison.
The fact that you're concerned about the possibility says two things to me. One is that you are at least aware of the possibility of escalation in your addiction and second, you realize that your addiction has already escalated from "college girls" to "barely legal".
Stop now, my friend. Do NoFap and maybe seek out an SA support group.

I am only almost 22 but is it that bad for an old man to like a nicely developed 18? Maybe maybe not.
