    Hi everyone.
I have previously successfully completed a 90 day nofap challenge, and since then I can say that it worked. I am no longer addicted to porn or masturbation. While previously I would M a couple of times a day, every day, now I do it once a week (I have no other sexual release). I have broken the dopamine cycle. However the benefits of nofap don't end here. I have a lot of energy and mental energy to focus on other things.

During nofap I came to the conclusion that my addiction has a cause, and I became determined to find out what drove me into it. That thing was childhood trauma. It wasn't anything serious like sexual abuse, but something in my childhood got me scarred, and I am carrying the scars with me even today. I know that this trauma is buried deep down in my subconscious and I have no idea how to bring it to light or even how to heal it.

I come to you to humbly ask for guidance. This forum has amazing people, and with their help I managed to overcome my porn addiction. Now I ask if someone can point me in the right direction.

  2. Congrats for the 90 days!

Keep going. Why not start a new streak and be done with PMO for good, and focus on making love to women i.e. getting the woman of your dreams.

Porn and masturbation is something we don't need, which is evident from people who report after doing long streaks.

I'm doing this for good. No turning back.

It's not an addiction for me, but I think I started masturbating at about age 12. It's difficult to remember now. My curiosity started when reading science books, wanting to know how the female vagina worked lol, then the curiosity grew into other perversions. Never anything heavy.

It is a huge accomplishment in life when a person decides self gratification through masturbation is not conducive to the fullest and richest life possible. Everyone is at their own level of existence, not all are ready to reach max level yet. For a man or woman to truly accept that a sexual release is a want and not a need, well that is the maximum level in my eyes. Of course we all want sex, we are mere mortals after all. But before we can walk among gods we need to try and realize sex is an experience meant to be had with two individuals. Best wishes to you both.

Ahhhhh Hiroki thank you. I have always hated when people refer to things as sexual "needs". There is no such thing. If it were, impotent people would be dead. Makes me extremely mad...
