Beware. Your mind can consciously or subconsciously turn itself into a pornsite.

Its been so many days since I typed in the names of those websites. I miss the dopamine rush although right now I choose to despise porn.
But lately I've been noticing that my mind is turning into a videoplayer at times. It starts playing old porn memories and videos all of a sudden and I even let it until I realized what I was doing was seriously wrong.
We've taught our brain that porn is a must for our survival so we must be careful. Because watching porn without fapping is as worse as watching porn and fapping or just fapping in my mindset because that helps me abstain and become a master at nofap successfully.

I am trying hard to steer away from these thoughts but they keep hitting me back very frequently. How do I stop this?

    Hi Rocky,

I don't know if you're a religious person at all but if you are the number one thing I would recommend is to have other people pray over you for those images and memories to stop coming into your mind and even for the neural pathways that were created by those viewings to atrophy and disappear. I know several people who have said that this has helped them a lot. If you choose this option make sure you find people who know how to pray with authority.

If you don't feel comfortable with that option, that's okay.... another suggestion might be that at the times that those porn images are intruding in your head, you could choose to connect with real people... call a friend that you have not talked to in a while, go talk to your roommate, strike up a conversation with your neighbor, call your mom, invite somebody to come over to your house and hang out with you, etc.... Its harder to fantasize about porn when talking with real people.

Ultimately you have to figure out what works for you but I know these tactics have worked for other people. And there are probably tons of other tactics too. We are in a war against this. Be relentless.

Sunshine gives good advice. Just keep yourself busy and find other things to think about. When your mind is busy, it has less opportunity to wander. As you go longer without watching porn, the images will pop up less and less.

Here are some wise words by a guy by the name of Boyd K. Packer,

“The mind is like a stage. During every waking moment the curtain is up. There is always some act being performed on that stage. It may be a comedy, a tragedy, interesting or dull, good or bad; but always there is some act playing on the stage of your mind.

“Have you noticed that shady little thoughts may creep in from the wings and attract your attention in the middle of almost any performance and without any real intent on your part? These delinquent thoughts will try to upstage everybody. If you permit them to go on, all thoughts of any virtue will leave the stage. You will be left, because you consented to it, to the influence of unrighteous thoughts. … When they have the stage, if you let them, they will devise the most clever persuasions to hold your attention. They can make it interesting all right, even convince you that they are innocent, for they are but thoughts. What do you do at a time like that, when the stage of your mind is commandeered by the imps of unclean thinking, whether they be the gray ones that seem almost clean or the filthy ones that leave no room for doubt? If you can fill your mind with clean and constructive thoughts, then there will be no room for these persistent imps, and they will leave.”
