Anyone got experience with hypnosis?

Hey, i have been experimenting a little with selfhypnosis (it started with hypnotic porn, but now i try to use it to sort things out).
Anyone has experience with hypnosis/trance? I know that it works well to help people quit smoking and other issues as well, and i think thanks to me being into hypnotic porn for a while it is actually quite easy for me to bring myself into a trance-like state. I have just started experimenting with this, and I want to explore selfhypnosis and my subconscious a bit more, but i am worried that I might cause further damages to my brain if i am not careful with this. So i would like to know if anyone else has experiences with hypnosis/deep meditation etc. maybe knows some good literature on it.
