Well, got to know about this site from a youtube video.
There have been no visible side effects on my daily life from porn but I am still quitting idk why really just feel like quitting.
Even the internet says that watching porn is completely normal if you know any side effects of masturbating please enlighten me as it will give my goal a reason.
    Thanks You
Looking forward to a nice time!

First off, porn's effect is different for different people. Some (many?) are capable of occasionally watching porn and having (effectively) no negative effects, while for others, like myself, it can be highly addictive and lead to serious behavioral and mental issues (think problems with motivation, depression, self-esteem etc.)

I wish I could tell you exactly which type of people are more at risk, but alas there's not been much research on the topic. However, I would say if you have problems with addictive behavior or have OCD tendencies, then porn might be more dangerous for you.

In terms of physical health, masturbating is a ubiquitous and healthy activity (in moderation). In fact, I have read it can improve immune system function and reduce the risk of prostate problems in old age (I don't have links sorry). The key word here is moderation. (just like for everything in life really)

One other thing I feel I should mention. After orgasm, many men feel regret and/or shame due to natural chemical balance changes in the brain (its actually an evolutionary trait iirc). Anyway, it helps to explain the motivation of many on here, in thinking that PMO is universally bad. That's not entirely true. It can be bad (very bad!) for some people, but not for everyone.

Overall, everyone's motivation for quitting porn is different, and you have to decide for yourself. If you think it's becoming a problem for you, then stop (and this site is a great resource for that!) Other than that I would advise doing your own research, the more you understand a problem the easier it is to solve. Good luck!

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?
