Almost a Week. Rookie Numbers? Watch me. It still counts as a success.

    Baby steps.

    That's what it's called.

You take baby steps, one small step at a time in order to reach your destination.

Here are all the stories of people completing months of NoFap challenges, even up to a year(s).

So what business do I have to be on here celebrating my (soon to be) first week of NoFap?
Is this post even allowed to be here?

I don't care. In my opinion, it's got every right to sit in this forum.
Looking back for the past few months/years, I realized that I couldn't even get past a week without masturbating. Sometimes I'll go on a rampage where I'll do it everyday. If I'm lucky, it's once every two days.

So here. My first week. Free of porn, free of masturbation.

I, like many of you, aren't willing to believe that we've survived this long. I, like many of you, are daunted by the thought that we'll have to survive many more weeks of this.

But I tell you, stand fast, don't lose heart. This is called micro-victories.

You get past this one week at a time. One day at a time. One hour at a time.

That's how you do it. You break this big mission into small steps. Into baby steps. Into micro-victories.

And this is why this post will be here today, mending in with all the posts celebrating months and years of success, while mine will be of a week.

That's right. A week is a success, and next week will also be a success. All these successes will eventually add up to months, which will blend into years. Those will all be successes.

And of course, a day's success will eventually become a week, and a hour into a day.

There is no milestone in your journey to recovery. There isn't a "success above all success." As long as you're alive, this journey will continue.

For all I care, your milestone occurred the minute you told yourself that you were going to beat this addiction. In this case, success is the ability to hold yourself true to that thought.

Celebrate your yearly success, your monthly success, your weekly success, or even your daily success, because remember, it all depends on your baby steps and micro-victories.

Too true! You gotta own what you achieve! Otherwise you'll just become resentful and angry and that gets you nowhere. Great post!

    Absolutely :)

Happy celebration, friend. The rest of the road is in front of you, and you've got some interesting tools already with you to get there. All the best!

    Cheers all.

As mentioned above, everyday is going to be a challenge.
If you don't get past it, you'll know where the mistake lies.

The important part isn't about making a mistake, it's about what you do to fix it.

Take time to celebrate where you are right now. It's one day more than what it was yesterday.
If you just relapsed, take this post as a reminder to not dwell on your past mistake. Start new.

Step it up folks. We're all here for a reason.

7 days is a great great milestone. Dont listen on dream stealers who say this streak is nothing. Instead take it as a strength and show them all

Great thread! How much I am in need of it! Every second is precious and I give thanks for every one that I spend without being oppressed by porn.

No matter if it's the first week or first month, hang in there. Everyday is it's own fight.
