Your story is very inspiring. It alerts me how PMO can negatively impact our souls. I hope you do well with your psychiatrist.

I used to have a journal, but I was unable to update it regularly. So I left it there, and hopefully I will start it again someday. However, here's the link - https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/pratyushs-alpha-journey.37517/page-4
There is a lot that has improved in my life since then. I have left weed, smoking, alcohol, got in a relationship, found a nice job...just this PMO remains.....Overall, I am a much more calm person. It's just an overwhelming feeling that shadows me over when I start succeeding in something... and I tend to fall right back down. Anyways, this time I have a different mindset. You will soon see my post in Success Stories. :D

  8. Cool I'll check out your journal when I have more time later today :). Seems like you are on the right path my friend. Happy for you :D. Can't wait to see you here too :). Do check out my journal in the signature if you want :)

    Wow. Just wow.
23 years and you can achieve 90 days? I've been addicted for 2 years and can BARELY go 1 week without P. You got my admiration, mister!

  10. Thanks :). Yes it is indeed possible, but I haven't gotten there just yet. But soon. But it has been some really hard three months. I have an bad anxiety trying to wear me down, porninduced images when walking outside etc etc. So it has not been easy, but I am very happy to have come this far :). If I can do it, you surely can too. I believe in you! Have you started a journal? I find that helping me a lot, write down thoughts and get opinions from other people here :)

As a your younger brother, I can say really good post. It looks like my story. Yeah, we are different ages, we have different situations, but you are not alone. I believe that, everybody always deserves the second chance. Good luck and best wishes!

It was like I am reading my own life story. I just started again. Can't wait to get more days under my belt.

Thanks for sharing your story. Good to be reminded I am not alone and that I can do it too.

I'm 18 and the my longest streak was 33 days. You sure are an inspiration man.

One question though: Do you have a specific strategy to deal with urges?

If you can do it after being addicted for so long, so can I.

  17. Thanks, really appreciate your kind words. You can get there as well. Just bunker down, work on yourself and take a day at a time :).

If you are thinking P urges, well I don't get those anymore. They have been there throughout my journey but pretty nonexistent as opposed to M urges. M'ing is my kryptonite and I know I don't need it, but I have a compulsion for it, so I keep wanting it. For my M urges I try to deal, that doesn't always work. I try to be productive with my day, read, write, exercise and meditate. Running is mighty effective for feeling good and a great mood. When I can, I try to be social. And I always look forwards, not back; but if I do, only when it's beneficial for my recovery. If none of these work, I do cold showers and they are pretty effective when you are feeling the urges hard and you are horny. Turns the body off from the urges. I never really do cold showers regularly, but when it gets to bad they are quite effective. I am also writing a journal to document so that I can see how I am doing at all times. On the forum that is. Sometimes the urges are to hard and try to make excuses, but I always get one upper hand and stop it. Thanks to the forum mostly.

  19. Yes I find that this always help, to know you are not alone, and to ask for help. Started doing that too. I can't wait either till you get far ahead, and I know you can. I believe in you!

  20. Thanks man :D
