You are right. When we get out of our comfort zone, more ambitious, goal oriented and self reliant , more adventures less porn.

I love what you say here. I have always felt this way but it's so much harder to do when you are addicted to porn. Every woman becomes a sex object, even the ones you are not attracted to. It's unsurprising that countless hours of looking at porn does that. It's beginning to feel amazing for me after 34 days of no porn, and not missing it either, that I'm really starting to feel good about myself again. There's still a long way to to really rewire my brain to how I want it to be but the motivation is there now to continue.

    Thanks for sharing your story.

Hi @Woodcutter74 !! All your post was just amazing and inspiring! But what I want you to ask is about sleepless nights. I don’t fap for like a week and during this week I just can’t sleep well... It’s just difficult for me to fall asleep (but when I fall I sleep well). Last night I fall asleep about 5am and all that time was just torture for me... So I wanted to ask you How long did you had these sleeping problems? How they ended? Was it every night just better and better? Thanks a lot!!

Dontask I understand all too well what you are going through because I am a light sleeper, and many nights I woke up in the middle of the night wanting to have sex with a woman so bad. It is also due to the fact that I suffer moments of anxiety and depression. Sometimes, the sleepless nights can last a week. Some days you sleep good, others you don't. My advice to you is be mindful of what you are feeling and acknowledge what causes the insomnia without judging the emotion or yourself. Also at all cost, do not fantasize about women before going to bed. Read an entertaining book, a spiritual book or a personal growth book to keep your mind busy. Or you can watch a movie. Just tell me what caused you to fall asleep about 5 am. I have a feeling it was the same reasons why I had trouble sleeping myself. Hope this helps.

@Woodcutter74 thank you very much! Firls of all I really appreciate your reply, secondly - your advices. You see, of course I think about sex and women and so on, but then I read something and my thoughts disappear. But the thing is, when I’m trying to sleep - I can’t. I spend like 1 hour to fall asleep and then I decide that I better read something. After one hour I go to sleep because It’s already late. But everything starts again - thoughts and so on. And it’s just taking hours and hours for me to get so tired of all of it so that I just kick out. I will try to do what you telling me - I will read until I will start to fall asleep. I hope I will be able to do that. Like rightnow in Iceland is 2:25 and I cannot sleep, I just read forums in NoFap with a hope to feel need to sleep.

Anyway, Thank you a lot man!

I wake up a 2 AM a lot myself. It sounds like you have a little bit of anxiety like me. Try to have calming thoughts and don't stress about the insomnia. Instead be mindful how you feel right now where you observe your thoughts and feelings, without being judgmental towards yourself but acknowledge it. Stay calm, concentrate on your breathing like meditation. One thing that has often help me during insomnia is to think about my dog who passed away 9 years ago, all the good memories we had, or the ocean. Anything to calm the spirit.

One more thing Dontask your next night of sleep, do not stress about insomnia and sleeping. Let it happen naturally. Use Melatonin and calmomille tea to help with the sleep. Wish you calm and peace for your sleep to come.
