After 270 days of abstain: depressed and started reading sex stories

    I need to share, so that I hear others stories and experiences. Also comments and remarks are welcome.

    My journey
    Joined nofap mid September 2017 with the idea to reboot from compulsive porn use by newyears. I felt rebooted by day 110-130, February.
    I was in 180-days-warrior challenge.
    My transformation and results are phenomenal, I like them and enjoy them.

    By today I am PMO free. Sadly in that period I have had no sex, although I did allow it to myself by day one, if so happens.
    Nope, although I got like three chances, but the girls were all complicated.

    So after the last rejection (we are dating 6 weeks and I get to make out with her in her period for the second time) I spiraled into depression.

    So I felt like I want to read sex stories. I chose first-time subject, as they are most respectful, romantic, non-fetish.
    My idea is that I feel the arousal and not MO. Just enjoy the hard on and the fantasy.

    And this morning I have a morning wood, for the first time since a month.

    I felt like I was in a huge flatline in my days and that was killing me.
    Having arousal and temptation for sex gives me something to fight and to feel winning.

    You are doing so well, I would hate for these sex stories to lead you back to a path of PMO. Remember the path ways in your brain will always be there and by reading these things you may open that path way again. This is a very dangerous thing you are playing around with.

    Sorry yo feel depressed. Keep sharing why you feel depressed. Hopefully there other things them sex or sex stories that can help you feel better.

    The thing is I changed all my habits in the last 100 days, and I reaped great results.
    The only missing part is having sex with a girl.
    And by missing that part I felt like what I am doing is not right.
    The other big problem is that seeing her makes me go to bed late, which then leads to one or two unproductive days.
    And feeling tired spirals me into compulsive behavior.
    Not PMO anymore, but long youtu.be or twitch.tv binges, which function similarly: numbing out.

    I felt like I deserve a break after 90 days of superior self discipline.

    This is so authentic ... That is so true ... You will actually go into the same spiral even in the touch on something ... The problem is those thought pathways re open up easily ... The damage that is being done is quiet deep ... Similarly you have to take some time to create new pathways ... I wish you the best that you don't turn back into those habits ... :)

    the tv and netflix has so much nudity, what to do then, switch it off? I don't like that idea, what to do other than avoiding arousal all the time?

    Edit: How do you finally evolve and be comfortable with nudity and transform that energy down there into creative one.

    If these things are causing you to slip , then turn them off. What's more important TV or being free. The other night I was watching a movie with my wife when a sexy scene came on. I looked at the ceiling and thought of work I had to do. My wife laughed knowing what I was doing, but she was proud of me.

    Yes, Why not, I will do that but what about on day 180? and beyond. I mean should I see a psychiatrist?
    This I am saying because I once went 6 months without* Masturbation. But that was it. Didn't achieve anything.

    Only masturbation? Some people quit in stages but the ultimate goal is no Porn, No masturbation, and no Orgasm that is associated with PMO of course(except with real partners). A lot of us on here want to get rid of this bad addiction because it’s messing up/destroying our life’s which is what an addiction does. Why did you start nofap?

    Yes, if after 180 days of no PMO and you still fill the same and have not been able to find more positive ways to deal with your triggers, then go seek professional help.

    The 6 Month one was a challenge between me and my friend, I always felt I fap a lot and am a slave to this habit so I asked him how long have you went without fapping, he said something like a year or 6 months (t'was a long time ago)
    So I thought (as a competition with him) I'll beat your record.
    I have beaten a whole lot of silly records like this just because my friends could do it while telling us (I had a great group) that it was tough. I wanted to make it look easy, some of these things include Half-marathon (timed), yoga, fasting, G.K, etc you know teenage show-off.
    Secondly, I have indeed stopped Porn altogether, Smoking as well, I go to regular walks, and I have a passion for chess and gardening. But never had any luck with the opposite sex. My ultimate goal for stopping PMO is simple, like every one else I need a GF, that's it! :)

    Edit: This is unrelated but is there a PMO tracker widget for Windows 10 desktop?
    So that I open my PC and first thing I see is my progress?

    I understand how you fill, I'm not trying to make you fell down, just relaying that you mush be willing to win this. I found better success with help on this forum, and outside this forum. I was willing to lost my pride and confess this to people face to face. I was hard, very hard. But to be free I was willing to do the right stuff no matter how hard. After telling people I felt like I was walking around with a pervert sign on my chest, but that feeling went away. I'm over 80 days now, and fill stronger then ever before. Not saying I'm a success story yet, but every day I'm writing another page in the book. Keep moving forward.

    Please speak for yourself. Most fapstronauts are here for that purpose I’ve seen it too many times. And too many times I’ve seen “most” of those fapstronauts relapse and relapse again. It might not be correlated(relapse) with the goal of being on here to only get a gf but for me it’s not an “addiction defeating/controlling” plan of strategy. I mean it might motivate some but for me it was all about improving my self, learning how to love myself (as corny as that sounds) and the getting a gf part will come along the way. If that is your goal then that is your goal. I only want you to do is think deep about what it is you want out of this.
    As to whether you need to see a psychiatrist, if this addiction is disrupting your way of living your life (not by not having a gf) like you stay isolated in your room and PMO consistently, have troubles at work because of it, things like sexual harassment at work, (for me I got to the point I was M’ing to images of my cousins, my friends moms.) some even watch animal porn, incest porn, things like not eating because of constant PMOing etc. Then it’s time to go see a psychiatrist. And I doubt they’ll help because this addiction is so new unlike alcohol/drug addiction which have been thoroughly researched. The data we have on the impact of pornography on the brain has only skimmed the surface. The best thing us fapstronauts can do right now at this moment is to remain sober.

    280 + days PMO free, and you still had a month flatline just now? More and more stories makes it sound like this flatline is not a temporary thing you just need to push through and then you are cured and have a great sex drive again. I am starting to doubt this prosess really being that simple (read: I never say it is easy).

    I have flatline in my every day life. I dont walk horny anymore. Which could be a good thing.
    When I make out with girls, I am hard and healthy.

    I got bored and I am missing the war, that is my problem.
