Is there any connection between adrenal fatigue and excessive masturbation?I used to do excessive masturbation and edging for a long time and drained myself and of course body lose all vitamins, minerals and hormones and I'm sure it changed body and brain chemistry... It's a bad habit and vicious cycle of feeling good but of course it's the way to feel unmotivated, fatigued, drained...Any opinions and similar experiences?

I have had some similar experiencess with edging to sex-games, that was after almost having quit on porn, and trying it all over again, and normal porn did not furhter giver the same tension. Now over hundred days since mo at all and mpo I still can get exited to this thougths, but that I think is because of the hormones and dopamin that you get by this act and your brain remembers this boost to this act after a while and starts grawing for it nad nothing else is good enougth.

So yeah, stay on the rigth path,
    good guy!

Studies that I have seen haven't demonstrated any difference in hormone levels. Excessive masturbation was shown to reduce sensitivity to testosterone (but not actual levels). Of course there are brain chemistry changes with dopamine and accumulation of Delta FosB.

  5. Try a supplement for a few months for adrenal fatigue, such as the herbal supplement "ginseng."

I will, thank u buddy I also heard for aswaganda....

  7. Yes, ashwagandha is also one of the best. It is also worth mentioning that in some contexts, it is specifically recommended for excessive loss. You should give it a try! I hope to try it as well.

Ginseng is a stimulant. It made me feel better for a while, but then I crashed from it

Meditation. Lot's of it. Like twice per day
    Buteyko Breathing was very helpful

Check out the book "Iodine, Why you need it"

And.... of course, stay away from the rush of porn

Man I have similar experience.. Fatigue is the only hindrance in my life which is holding me back from using my full potential.. I think we are suffering from Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome.. Look it up..

Try to limit caffeine and other stimulants you may be taking. I used to drink preworkouts religiously and fried my adrenal glands into oblivion. I'm sure excessive masturbation throws your hormones out of wack as well.

I looked this up because I thought I knew the answer, but turns out I didn't.

I had thought perhaps ejaculation caused shift in testosterone levels, and doing this till depletion created a greater shift. However, in all the scientific reviewed perspectives I found, They can't find any evidence of that. I also used to think masturbation and sex were high caloric burn activities, but after getting a heart rate monitor, I've found while your heart rate is slightly elevated, you would have greater impact walking for an hour.

There is a correlation to testosterone and sexual activities. However, they aren't one to one, sex doesn't cause an immediate rise or fall, but it may happen several days afterwards.

That being said, while they have started doing the research on men, porn, and masturbation, they admit that the data is still in its infancy because there is great sensitivity about the issue.

I still have a theory. (And admittedly this is just opinion). I've recently begun meditation. And while scientist can't find the exact reasons, there is many proven direct benefits they have found attributed to it. It's fundamentally an attempt to lower your threshold for you to become aware of your senses in the body, while allowing you to experience thoughts/emotions, without feeling caught up with them. It focuses on breathing, and mental disciplines. My theory is porn and masturbation to sexual exhaustion is the anti-meditation. I have found that my breathing is often held for longer periods, when edging and getting closer to my orgasm. This is done to frequent and intense distraction of the sites sounds and false diversity that porn offers us. It's also done in private spaces and times where natural light isn't present, and in conflict of when I might actually supposed to sleep. (In short, my theory, is that even if hormones aren't a significant factor due to ejaculation, you are still doing something to depletion, which create a long term tension in your body (breath and slight elevation and heart rate), while pursuing not clarity but overwhelming distraction and diversity. That sounds ingredients for stress. Add to that the adverse impact to your sleep patterns, so that restoration can't be fully accomplished. I think those things will affect you emotionally and have a longer term impact to your hormonal cycle.

(Again, I don't work in the medical field so that is just theory until someone tries to prove it).

Hello guys I slightly might have this problem and for the last 5 months it was pretty hard for me to have a"normal" life and to progress in my area interest.my quick question would be,is it possibile to get out of this hole?I rly don't wanna stay like this for like forever.I couldn't live with myself. Not being driven and waking up every morning with your mind kind of "high" after also dreaming so much(wich it might have something to do with fatigue) just sucks..can you guys give some updates on your current feelings?thanks and good luck:)

I’ve been looking into this and I see all these suggestions and medical treatments but wouldn’t just stopping masturbation and porn fix this problem altogether? Nobody seems to even mention that much

I can only give example with myself but when I was working 10-16 hours a day and didn't fap for 2 months I was just as exhausted as I did my binge session these recent weeks. The truth is if at least a few days pass I don't feel any noticeable difference, but if it's couple times a day day after day then it starts getting more exhausting then physical labor.

  20. iam not sure if theres a connection with adrenal fatigue
and PMO but have read its def related to the more common
‘fight or flight’ stress response where your adrenals will release adrenaline and cortisol.

did have a relapse awhile ago with 4 releases and felt absolutely exhausted
for quite a while. have come to believe retention is quite nourishing for the body, mind and soul

the following were sourced from a book called
“The Power Of Food” by Janet Jacks

a few symptoms of AF are:
    -low blood pressure
    -light headed when standing up
    -eye-light sensitivity

i had two of those this past summer and had been
pmo free for a few months at the time.

a few tips to support your adrenals:

    -eat enough protein
-eliminate sugar as its not good for adrenal health
-as other have suggested...avoid caffeine and other stimulants

    helpful adaptogenic herbs:
    -ashwaghanda
    -rhodiola
    -holy basil

very important to get enough sleep and try to reduce stress
