I got on me email, and noticed I was still getting Plenty of Fish emails "POF", and I thought I had already deleted my dating profile, but apparently not. I got on there just to delete my profile, and.... FUCK... so many very hot women. I immediately started browsing all the profiles and clicked on the ones that showed the most cleavage, skin, etc. My heart raced.... I felt a rush... Then noticed a link at the bottom that said: "want to just hook up?" . I clicked it just to see what the hell this site would be about, and quickly I rationalized clicking it because I technically can have real sex, just not watch porn or masterbate, right??? . The very first page was a topless woman. I panicked, looked away, and deleted the tab very quickly, then deleted my POF profile and came here to nofap.org.I promise that I DID NOT expect the very first page at the fucking site to be a naked woman, or else I wouldn't have clicked on the link, and honestly I looked away so quickly and deleted it that I barely had enough time to enough know what was going on. I don't consider this a relapse because I did not M and I barely saw the pic, and didn't continue viewing or even look for more than a second.Aside from that, I was at the gym today and FUCK..... some of the women there were so hot it was unreal. I literally had to look away at times during my workout because I was getting a little hard and I was in my gym shorts so I didn't want the world to see my damn boner on the free weights section haha. ... but even with all this going on it is VERY LIBERATING to have this sex drive in me.I am very excited and already feeling the positive effects, even from 8 days no PMO. I can only imagine how good it will feel at 90 days. I WILL not masturbate. My AP is a stud too. Anyway, if you guys can give me some insight on the situation with POF, and I'm pretty sure you will agree that wasn't a relapse and i don't have to reset my counter. Love you guys, and I'll check in tomorrow.

I shall say, it was almost a relapse, and please be careful next time. You may not be able to stop it every time before a real relapse happens.

    Good luck!

Lol dont be so scrupulous. We cant defend against every instance of porn; society is saturated with it. But we can change our attitudes to it. Recovered alcoholics can still walk past a bar; the point is that they keep walking.

Like, it's hard to avoid occasional nudity/sex scenes on films and tv, but I dont have a heart attack. I just see that i'm at a cross-roads and, with perseverance, i've taught myself to choose the narrow road, rather than the PMO highway. You get stronger with each victory, like the one you had here, and it gets easier.

I decided to delete my Plenty Of Fish account also the other day, for many reasons that have become rational since joining here.

1; The amount of time spent on there when nearly always it goes nowhere does not add up at all.

2; All of the things I could be doing with that time instead.

3; I now believe the ever increasing popularity of online dating sites is starting to have an impact on us in society and creating a bigger divide in the battle of the sexes.

4; I've been on quite a few internet dates from having a subscription to match.com over a 6month period, and again look back at it as a waste of time and a false sense of reality with false situations.

...5; I want to live my life in the real world!!

and finally number 6; I realized that looking at endless pictures of girls showing themselves off and you desiring them from afar is definatly a huge trigger to progressing onto porn. It's so much easier to just forget about all of that.

Word, Pondering Wonder. Thats why I deleted mine too. It just makes me get resentful that these women dont just "want to have sex with me". Its not the real world.

Exactly Anjuna, (awesome record label by the way!)

As I said I was pretty successful with the subscription so my opinion for it all now doesn't come out of annoyance of a lack of attention. I do think that it's very easy for women to get used to getting a kick out of the attention they receive on there. Because they're getting all this attention they can waste your time, lead you on etc. I completely agree with ya that it grows a resentment towards them for us. None of this is neccesarily their fault, it's just the way things go.
But I do believe in the end it's making a bigger devide between the sexes because it's unnatural.

So well said Alex. Do we choose to be a strong minded individual or become weaker by giving into basic animal urges.
