    Hi NoFap community and newbies

I am new to this forum and I got this idea that I would like to share. I am thinking of a suggested list of things for newbies to go through to make the journy easier and successful. Might also add resources and ideas so it could be gathered at one place.

It is not inteded to be the "right way to go" but only a suggestion that might help. Also it is a work in progress and open to your suggestions and input. I hope this is not against the policy of this forum. Otherwise please delete it.

    To start with:

Dear Fapstronaut, if you are reading this you are already on the way to quit PMO. This is a list of useful things you can consider.

    1. Hang around this forum for a few days and read through all that you can. Getting support during your reboot can not be emphasized enough.

    2. Check www.yourbrainonporn.com. Understanding the underlying neuro-physiology of PMO is crucial to understand PMO addiction, to stop blaming yourself, to alleviate the guilt, shame, low self-esteem and other feelings associated with PMO addiction and to eventually come out of it.

    3. Decide with yourself on why you want to quit PMO. Write your reasons down on a paper (paste it on the side of your screen if its applicable and you are alone for ex.)

    4. Make an overall plan that you will follow and your first goal (For ex. Hardmode reboot 90 days with no PMO; or No PMO for 1 day then 3, 7 etc.; or No P for 30 days and so on)

    5. Post an introduction on the Newbie section and get a counter, and maybe start a journal to track your progress and get feedback from others.

    6. Be active on the forum and keep getting back to yourbrainonporn.com during your reboot. It helps keeping your morals up.

    7. Be strong. You deserve it. If you relapse. Stay positive and remember the streak of abstinence you have achieved. The next streak will be longer and longer.
