I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. NO MORE EXCUSES.
I am sick of the excuses. I am tired of the excuses.

There is a BIG difference between learning from your mistakes, and then acting on what you've learnt.

If you think about what you did wrong but don't adjust to avoid the same mistake then did you really learn anything?

Couldn't have said it better myself. When I stumbled upon NoFap after a while (I had seen videos and read some things), it ocurred to me that maybe this was the last thing I needed to heal for good... To be engaged with people's stories, learn from their errors or just get motivated.

Iwannaquitplz, your thread is awesome. Thank you

You will become what you think about.
If you think you will fail, you are so much more likely to fail. Get into your head that YOU CAN DO IT and you will do it.

when I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.

Don't get caught up in the excuses. If something isn't good for you, no matter how much you enjoy it - cut it out!
I recently gave up social media, tv, movies and youtube. They were fun but triggering and lead me to bad places.

Good job and good stuff. I am like minded

The worst part of relapsing is the feeling of regret. Your control is stripped away from you. You are a helpless 0 day person who caves at his/her desires as soon as your motivation isn't 100%.

I want to be a strong. I want to be in control. I want to be the person who has his impulses and desires locked down, always acting with the purpose of helping people and improving myself. I don't want to be the guy I am, I want to be the person I could be.
Who are you, and who do you want to be?

If you want it, go and get it!

In all media, the best part is just there. In movies, the nerd works out and gets buff in a few minutes of boxing. In social media, women just look like that all the time. In porn, everything is an excuse to have sex and nothing is off the table, you don't even need to be in a relationship with the person.

In real life, you have to work for days, for months, even for years! There is no quick solutions. You aren't failing at anything and you shouldn't stop something because you aren't like that guy on TV yet. Keep going.

Media is lies. Don't judge yourself to fantasy.

It's so easy nowadays to be great because so many people are so weak.
Don't give up when criticised. Grow. Learn.
Greatness isn't formed when we face those who criticise us.
Greatness is formed when we face that person staring at us in the mirror.

If we only apply 50% of ourselves to tasks then we will never get anywhere.
If you are going to do something, damn well do it! Put your soul into it. Hurt yourself doing it. Only rest when it's done.

If you do things with only 50% effort then the end product will only be 50% and it will take you 150% longer.
Taking things easy isn't going to get you anywhere!

Batman is the most realistic, most relatable super hero.
He has no powers. Sure he has money but if that's all it takes then every billionaire would be a batman. Why aren't they?

Batman gets back up. OVER AND OVER, Batman gets back up and fights, no matter the cost to himself.
Everyone wants to be Batman because they could be Batman, all the Batman is, is a guy who punches people and takes punches and acts with a strong moral code. That's all.

So many people complain about having no talent, wishing their talent would just come to them so then they can become someone that others wished they were like.
The secret is, no one has talent. There are only people who kept at it until it stuck. You think an artist was born drawing masterpieces? You think a kid was born with a violin in their arms? You think Batman got so good at fighting because he was born with money?

You don't wish you were somebody with talent. In truth, you wish you were somebody who didn't give up.

When your parents tell you that you can become anything, it is the phrase you should have carried with you throughout your life. You could have become anything... then you gave up and settled for mediocre.
You will never become Batman like that, no matter how much money you have.

You know, if Batman lost all of his money, he would still be Batman. Why? Because Batman isn't money...Batman is the ability to get back up unless he dies. Batman won't make excuses like, I have no money so I guess my crime fighting days are over...
