A simple truth

From the last time you pmo'd, a 90 day clock started counting down. Nothing you can do will stop that clock, you can only restart it or reach the end. If you restart the clock, you will regret it and you will be exactly where you were from whenever you started watching porn. OR you reach the end of the clock and you will be so so so glad and so so so proud of yourself and you will succeed and be happy.

The simple truth is that you will be better off without porn and you HAVE TO GIVE IT UP.
No matter what excuses you come up with - triggers, horny, just this once, other lies - none of it matters as long as you know in your heart that you will be better off without it.

    90 days - gone
    90 days more - gone
    90 days - gone
    a few years - gone
Don't you just wish you grew up, put on your big boy/girl boots and just did that 90 days?
So just do it and stop being a child - i don't care how old you are, you are still a child if you can't face the fact that you should have just done it and screwed the excuses. That's all they are and they are the only thing holding you back

We all will pay for our karma. You fap, you loose yourself. You smoke, you loose your lung capacity. You treat people badly, you loose your friends. You play games all day, you loose the outside.
if you play games all day, you need to go for a run. Give some of your time to do something nice for those you care for. Quit smoking, be your own master. Stop fapping, get your life back.

If you are going to relapse, it's because you got your self into the head space where you want to relapse.
You are relapsing over and over because of the life you lead. You need a life that you enjoy more.
If you don't work out, don't eat healthily, don't drink lots of water, don't focus on your breathing, don't do meditation, don't do cardio, don't have fun activities every day, then of course you are going to relapse.
Look at the life you lead and change it. At the moment, you are going to relapse because you have planned to relapse by your daily activities. Plan to become a non-relapsing person by changing the life you are living.

As much as it hurts me to admit it (being that I relapsed this morning), it is true. When I do nofap for a week I lose this angry mindset at the external world for a bit. I stop caring about what other people are doing in their lives and stop comparing myself to others. I begin to focus on what I like most and doing what makes me happy and fulfilled. It's a tough pill to swallow but once I overcome my PMO addiction, I know I will overcome my current circumstances. I don't mean to ramble on but the biggest problems in my life are so minute and fixable that when I look at it from another person's perspective, I'm able to objectively point to where the solutions are. Unfortunately when I PMO, it results in me taking a personal self-sabotage and leads me nowhere but where I currently am. Thanks for this post.

I am going to keep on doing the things that you won't, so I can do the things that you can't

You don't need to feel bad about relapsing.

Do not be discouraged by the opinions of others.
Everyone starts at the bottom and then we make our way to the top.

Today, I was running and feeling self-conscious because I was red in the face, out of breath and super sweaty (only been running for a few days now) and I saw that I was going to have to run past this couple walking their dog. I sped up to show I was better than what I was doing but then I slowed down again as I realised I don't need to put up a show for anyone. So what if i run funny or slow? I am going to run how ever I am going to run.
    Don't be fake. Be you.

We have all relapsed enough times to know what failure feels like. It's not a good feeling.
When your next urge comes, stop and think about what success is going to feel like.

If you are sat there, thinking about not having the strength to stop yourself from the urges like I am right now, then don't give yourself the option to relapse. Get out of your chair for 30 seconds to get into some work out kit and leave the building. Walk, run, do push ups, get angry, keep going until your legs won't move any more, go home and have a cold shower and when you're done, reflect and be thankful that you just saved yourself for another day.

Remember - we will never ever quit pmo if we are not willing to get out of a chair.

in 6 months from now, we can all be new better people. Or we can spend a few more years doing the exact same thing with no progress. Make your choice and stick to it.

This thread helped me remember something I was taught on my early days of nofap, which were about 3 years ago.
Assisting others is mustering might. It affects us psychologically in a way that forces your brain to realize that you're not only being able to deal with your chaos but also with other people struggles. It creates an illusionary stregth that serves as foundation to real prowess.

Thanks for the wisdom friend. This attitude will surely reap you some power a couple months from now when you look back at this.

There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.

    Just relapsed? Just keep swimming!
Struggling not to relapse? Just keep swimming!
Struggling with stress? Just keep swimming!

remember, no matter what happens, as long as you keep on going, you will get to your destination.

Repeated courage leads to competence. Repeated competence leads to confidence. But first we need the courage to be incompetent and insecure with something outside of our comfort zone.

So you know you're going to relapse, your urges have taken over and you know in a few moments an incognito tab will be open and you'll have to reset your counter but God damn you need to jerk off to some super fucked up porn and that'll distract you from your struggles.
If you are in one of those states, then you are obsessing over porn and your sexual energy too much. When you open that amazing porn video, evaluate it - be a critic, like you're judging it for realism, practicality, etc. See the flaws in porn.
Abused women, all one colour chess pieces, stupid scenario, positions that look painful and not fun, are the actors even believable?
What I am trying to say is: Don't look at porn so blindly because you are making it a positive thing to watch, like thinking it's so good that you just want to watch that one video or something. I am saying that porn is stupid and fake and not even entertaining so there is no reason to watch it.
Don't hype porn, see its flaws and how bad it actually is because it really is pretty stupid.

Porn is so fake, if you treat women the same as how they do on porn, then you're not going to get a gf or won't have one for long.

Critically analyse your porn and you'll see that it's not worth getting caught up over.

Have I ever told you the definition of insanity...
insanity is doing the exact... same fucking thing... over and over again expecting... shit to change...

You are on a road. It isn't a very good road as this road has multiple huge pot holes that you can't avoid no matter what you do on the road. When you hit the pot hole, you go back to the start of the road. Every time you try to drive, you hit the first pot hole... over and over again, into the first pothole never making it very far.
How to get past the pothole?
Leave the vehicle and walk on the grass.

You have the choice, stay on the same road and keep relapsing or pick a new path and get to where you want to go.
