    Hi everyone,

In a few days, I will have reached my goal of 90 days NoFap, NO PMO.

I just returned back from a walk on a sunny day. I cannot remember ever feeling so stimulated
by such basic things as flowers, sun, people and the warm wind.

There are too many things to list that have changed in my life, but I will list a few:

    - Food tastes better
    - Being with my partner, talking, sex or no sex, is 350% better
    - I can concentrate on work with minimal distraction
    - I can pull away from porn traps easily
    - I have more energy
    - I am more positive
    - I sleep very well
    - I lost interest in alcohol completely
    - Most of the time, I don't think about IT, and also hardly think to update my profile here. Because - I don't think about it.
    - But, many times during the day, I am SO THANKFUL to the organizers of this site!

Sorry, tons more things that are so much better, but I would be just echoing what has already been said.

Remember when big tobacco was sued because it was revealed that they had hidden their knowledge that nicotine was addictive?

    Well, this is much bigger.

While I cannot call myself an expert, as a developmental psychologist and med student, I can tell you, that the brain science is absolutely true.

Our brains resemble those addicted to heroin, and while withdrawal symptoms differ, we are all in the same group - you know that feeling that comes over you when you feel you HAVE TO...you know what.. -

There is no stopping it right? Nothing will stand in your way..and you will become an expert in hiding your behavior.

    - all that has left me -

Occasionally, I see an image on CNN, or somewhere, and for a moment, my heart rushes...then I leave.

    That is it.

This situation regarding PORN is getting FAR worse. Look at the increase in violent crimes towards women in recent years.

Less educated people in developed and developing countries watch videos that make them think that they can do all of these things to women - and that they like it -

What happens to them? Execution, jail, broken lives...it is all over the news.

    This has to stop!!!!!

The message of NoFap, YBOB, SACRED SEXULALITY PROJECT etc, needs to be translated,
a celebrity needs to endorse it, and we need to rid the world of this crap.

I have been trying to stop this for 30 years...but it became much worse since the Internet, which is a part of all of our lives - let's face it. You cannot simply just go off the grid if you want to survive.
(and don't think - Oh he's not like me..- because I am EXACTLY like you..I AM YOU!!!)

We are gentleman, as the SSP says...guys THIS IS IT..your whole life will IMPROVE...you can do it!!!!!!!!

Great post. It's interesting but I've actually been thinking the same about online porn, that the individuals who administer such sites are well aware of the addictive power of their product. And while it may be presented to us as a 'free choice', most of us are here on this site because we felt 'trapped' by the lure of the content.

Hardly any of us today would look at a smoker and feel that the person can simply quit - we know that it is addictive and unhealthy. PMO may even be akin to alcoholism - a little bit of MO using one's imagination is not going to cause any difficulties (an 'occasional drinker'), but daily use of PMO has caused real pain (as has alcoholism) to many people and their loved ones. Just because the effects are more insidious and not so apparent does not mean that they are not real.

The addiction is real, and so are the consequence. It is impossible to think that repeatedly seeing videos of people as existing solely as objects of pleasure cannot have a negative impact on our thought patterns. Far from enriching our lives, PMO only serves to diminish real life experiences.

And congratulations on 90 days (almost....!) It is great that you show up and post, if only to give the rest of us inspiration.
