    Hi guys,

I'm new here, currently on day 3. My longest streak was 25 days, which was reset because I was feeling particularly depressed on that day.

Thought I would sign up to give support to my fellow nofapstronauts, and read up on advice

I actually spent the last 10 minutes writing a long backstory, but deleted it because I'm so ashamed, and those days are finally behind me

Welcome here! This is a perfect day for taking this step. And yes, we do have to support each other, I like your attitude!

Whatever was on that paper you wrote I can guarantee you, it’s not the worst thing the nofap community has encountered. Many people here know how you feel. You will not be judged in the sense that people will tell you what a bad person you are. But be ready for honest people with personal experience on the subject (just as yourself) that will be strict and forward on you. All in well meaning.

Good luck with your journey. I have a good feeling about you, see you around

Thanks for replying bro. Maybe I'll post it some other time

ETA: I was having cravings today but came back here, and it's really helped :)

  4. welcome! Coming here can certainly stop cravings/urges.

I agree with TLR. posting your trials and tribulations will often help you see where you went wrong/opportunities for improvement and it gives others a chance to point some out if you missed them. it also helps others figure out their own issues quite often. This site is very supportive and helpful...

I posted a quote from a book I'm reading a couple weeks ago (52 Weeks of Conscious Contact). It said "shine a light on that dark part. At least look at it briefly. Acknowledge it's there. … Take it a step further. Share those darker parts with others, so they can shine a light on those parts of themselves."

I feel like shining light on our darker sides helps us and helps others as I have witnessed in many posts over the past few weeks. I'm praying for your success!

    Hey Qwack91,

New here as well, also on day three of NoFap. Haven't gone 25 days before, maybe 10.
I had a strong impulse to fap earlier, managed to guide myself away from it by doing my daily yoga routine (doing that for about three months).
After that, back on my laptop, in my browser, typed in one letter and the saved porn site appeared, almost clicked enter...and now I'm here.
Hopefully we can both be our best selves, good luck!
