22 - Dealing with Anxiety and Loneliness

Do you have specific hours in the day where it becomes harder to reboot?

    Hello everyone!

    So I'm new here, i got here because recently my anxiety attacks have been stronger and getting to a point where i can't focus at work which represents a bigger problem now.

    I used to deal with them by Masturbating as it made me feel more relaxed and overall good but i think that's no way to live... I can't be prisoner of my anxiety or masturbation. This anxiety comes from being alone, i moved away from home because of work and left my very loved girlfriend and family at my hometown... she couldn't handle a long distance relationship and i can't blame her you know, so by being lonely i get anxiety attacks and i deal with them by masturbating and you know how it goes, it's a never ending cycle.

    I started my reboot (90 Day reboot) just yesterday and I'm writing right now because at this hour (9:00-10:00 p.m.) becomes very difficult for me as it was the time i would search for something to "M" to usually.

    Thank you for sharing this with me, i know soon i'll be out of this!

    Welcome! I'm glad you're here. I'm sorry no one welcomed you sooner.

    About anxiety attacks...do you have a doctor or therapist to talk to? I don't know anything about those, but I hope someone with expertise can help. If I can do anything to help, let me know. Keep coming back!

  4. Hey buddy, i suffer from anxiety and have done for quite a large part of my life.

    I know how it feels when you get a bad episode, i actually had one recently where i was off work for 4 days and i had zero motivation, couldn't sleep and couldn't get up in the morning when i eventually fell asleep.

    Masturbation doesn't help and when i used to watch porn that made it really bad. Giving up porn has been a great help but i also have other things in life to worry about (don't we all)

    I have medication for anxiety which does help, it's not perfect but it definitely takes the edge off. I would suggest seeing a doctor and describing your anxiety attacks to them so they can prescribe you with something to control your mood gently throughout the day.
