122 days in Hard Mode under my belt, Do you keep the web filters enabled indefinitely?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Jul 28, 2015.

Is it good idea to disable web filter after more than 100 days of NoFap?

  1. Hello Guys,

I have managed 122 days in Hard Mode.

Is the reboot ever completed or would you recommend to keep the web filters in place indefinitely?

Note that I do not intend to have them disabled any time soon.

The reason I am asking is, that I believe that something in your attitude regarding PMO has to change.

That you have to be sure that you don't slip away even if you have the chance to.

However I am not sure that this stage can be reached if everything is blocked...

Could it be withdrawal syndrome or is it legit point?

I turned off my filters after about 40 days.

I knew how to get past the filters if I wanted to anyway.

The blockers and special apps were not what kept me from looking at porn. What keeps me from looking is a continued resolve to be a different kind of person.

Exactly ... web filters are just a bandaid. But if it's working for you I would keep it activated until I had a very solid reason for disabling it. Like if I needed it full internet access for work/job or something like that.
