Do you have any other activities or outside interests?

For me, I directly combat the urges with working out. It dulls the buzz of desire down to just a background noise. Socializing with my friends also helps kill the urges. All my desires fly out the window for a few hours, and I don't feel 'needy'. For me, boredom and masturbation are very much tied together. I have to stay active.

What is the title getting at?
For me, porn seems more harmful than masturbation. For the mind, at least, I'm not sure physically.

Another thing that leads me to masturbating is that different cultures and medical website s has different views about masturbation. . That is what make me believe that there is nothing wrong about it. But since I started masturbating I really have seen so much harms of it.. few days ago at night after I masturbated it was close to midnight I had something like heart attack my breath was stopping. For few second I thought I was going to die. My hand also became numb without motion.... with this much harms why the media says it is normal?????

There are different views, and different cultures on masturbation.

That being said, it has to be a personal choice. (You will have to decide).

There are many that have found healthy release in masturbation. However, there is a difference in their experience and yours. I'm going to make an assumption, but it sounds like your schedule is rather frequent, and possibly excessive for your body. This without coping mechanisms for stress and other life's challenges are often tempted to use masturbation as a comforting behavior. It's then it ceases to be a health activity and becomes one based on avoidance. That can contribute your problems, instead of providing a release from natural libido.

Anything done to excess is going to have stress and draining effects. Once a week or even once every two or three days can be accomplished, if that is in fact your natural libido. Your body can cope with that level of use, and you can replenish yourself by getting decent sleep, good fitness routine, and a balanced diet.

That being said, again, that is other people and their ability to fold masturbation into a healthy lifestyle. If you find that it's taking you to places that feel empty, wrought with negative emotions, then it's not part of your healthy lifestyle.

This hasn't been one of my more clear posts, but again, the choice is a personal based on what you feel. There are many that find that masturbation leads them away from people, and towards the empty path of illusion in porn. For them, masturbation isn't a choice they can make, and be healthy. Others find that once they let go of porn, and find a more natural schedule for release done without shame, that they can satisfy needs and feel charged by the experience (as well as keeping them committed to their priorities, and their long term partner).

Seems to me that you might be attributing many of your problems to masturbation but there is clearly a lot more going on with your health. I'd suggest going to a doctor to discuss these issues and also perhaps getting a full body checkup done to rule out all possible issues. Hair loss is primarily genetic and if masturbation really was the reason for hair loss, most of the members on here would have lost their hair. I don't mean to discourage you but you should seriously contemplate getting a medical opinion.

I think its important not to believe everything you read blindly. Have you looked at the chap who has written this article? You'll find plenty of religious guys who advocate that masturbation is unhealthy or sex before marriage is a sin and things to that effect. I have no problem with that. To each their own. But that is an agenda I don't subscribe to.

The chap who wrote that article has authored a book that's titled 'The Talk: 7 Lessons to Introduce Your Child to Biblical Sexuality'. Its so important to see who has written an article before coming to conclusions. If you believed everything you read on the internet, you'll have a strong argument for anything that you can possibly imagine.

Yeah i kind a begin to lossing hair to,i mean im 19 yrs old and start losing hair i have this my dad look bald in front but i think masturbation kind a fasten the process

  13. I don't look at one as being more harmful than the other. I just look at both of them as being harmful and therefore not worth my time and energy. Our human dignity really shines when we live a life of self-control/self-mastery. Porn and masturbation are contrary to those qualities and therefore undignified.

Then show me a very trusted word or comment to prove that masturbation isnt harmful.. if u dont believe the websites saying masturbation is harmful, then how u believe the others saying its normal??? For me up to now I see people who not masturbating are very strong and young with good and shiny hairs.. but the people who masturbating are very thin, premature aged, hairlost, weak and look old with sexual problems.. that is What I have seen up to now.. why should we decieve ourselves.. the science will also always not tell u the truth because of money or politics issues. Believe me man

  15. Ejaculation whatever the cause will always demand energy. I'm surprised by the fatigue that is caused by wet dreams sometimes even days later. So I would say ejaculation in its own does indeed affect energy levels in a negative way. They don't call it the little death for nothing I guess..

  16. Very true I too believe NOfap is all about physical benefits. One of the indicators of fertility and strength and vitality is the dark circle around the iris in the eye. Nofap actually makes these come back! Also hair feels stronger, more vibrant. Skin instead of pale has better color. There's absolutely no way masturbation doesn't cause physical changes. It does.

Nofap is a brain game, therefore try to beat your urges by cheating your brain by doing something else .
It is how I controlled my urges for the first 10days .
Learn to cheat your brain by realising that it's a dopamine urge and not a sexual urge.

Again, its a personal choice on if you feel it's right or wrong for you. If you feel there is a spiritual connection and that is your beliefs, than we are not here to change your mind. Seek your spiritual leaders input. Even if you are not spiritual, it's your body, and your choice, so again it's not for us to tell you what is good or bad for you.

You are also right that interpretation of science (and people with bias) can manipulate results. Money and politics can cause that to occur. However, true science doesn't try to create interpretations and is designed to produce results no matter what you believe. (It's the people that read those results that can be corrupted). However, I have confidence when something can have firm parameters and be repeatable by peer-review that we can better know the universe than by our feelings and beliefs alone.

That being said, if you head over the the 'what do you look afk' section of the forum. You will find some pics of the members here. When you say you believe all people who masturbate are thin and unhealthy, you might be surprised. The truth is that how do you know who does and doesn't masturbate? It's not like they wear signs. But as evident of those pics on the forums, you can see there are many attractive women and men that share this issue (as well as just some normal folks). In short, I don't believe that your theory will bear the test that all who masturbate show visible signs of being unhealthy.

To repeat, it's your choice, and not right for me to try to change your mind about your body. All that I think @sirfapstinence was trying to say is that others are trying to convince you, without necessarily playing fair. Spiritual advice should be offered with the admission it's based on spiritual perspectives. So that people that come looking have a better idea how to accept the advice. In this case, Sir was just trying to offer that article linked wasn't immediately obvious. To those of us that aren't spiritual, we find that frustrating, even if we respect those who have faith.
