[it's a joke - think Bill Hicks but way less funny]

Is it just me or do people find threads or posts where people talk about their dicks crazy?

There are so many posts where people talk about how abstinence has helped their dick get longer or thicker. Or helped it get harder. Or stay up longer. Or makes it feel better. Morning erections. Night time erections. Erections in the shower.

Stop talking about your dick! Stop focusing on it! This is the reason you are here in the first place, dude, because you couldn't leave your dick alone. You kept thinking about it, comparing it, worrying about it, testing it, constantly waving it around. What is so great about it that you need to keep telling everyone about it?

And why o why is it so important to you that you need to be so attentive to it. What does it do that is so special? You piss out of it, man. Can't live without that, I admit that. But everything else, well isn't that off limits while you are trying to sort out your dick-driven addiction? If you start praising it, being smug about it or just being relieved it is still there and works, well soon you are going to start giving it little rewards and there you are, back to square one and an empty counter. Leave it alone!

Sure, it has got a mind of its own, does its own thing. But why keep acknowledging it, talking about it, conversing with it? Just tell it to shut the fuck up. Tell it to get over itself. Ignore it. Because actually it isn't separate to you and it doesn't have a mind of its own. It's like getting excited about having a spleen. Oh, my pancreas produced insulin in response to food! My hair got longer! I can blink!

ED is a terrible and serious thing. It gets in the way of relationships and robs you of confidence in the bedroom. It is a serious matter and seeking advice and reassurance from others is what nofap is all about. But just let your dick just be. Don't touch it, don't think about it, don't worry about it, don't acknowledge it. Leave it in your pants and forget about it. When it finally gets bored and reminds you that it is there then that will be proof enough that things are okay and it is ready to be used normally again.

And if you don't have a girlfriend or a wife, if you haven't had sex yet because you haven't had the opportunity or you are too shy or too religious then thinking about sex is not going to help the situation. Believe me, if sex forms even 1% of your relationship (that's 15 minutes a day, every day) then you are one lucky dude! It's the other 99% you need to worry about. What do we have in common? How do we organise our collection of crime and historical fiction books? Who's cooking dinner? How do I keep this going for the next 50 years? Those are the big problems, not your dick.

So please please please, stop talking about your dick. Or else I will have to stop reading about your dick.

    :p

One does not simply ignore one's dick. I find that when at the times I stop thinking about my sexuality I become vulnerable to giving in to PMO. The key is to be aware of your libido, realize that it is a good thing, and learn to be in control of it.
