I've seen people on here talk about meditation and the benefits of it. I have been considering attempting it, but I'm not really sure where to start.

Does anyone have any good resources, videos, webpages, whatever?

    Thanks
    RRZ

    Hi RRZ,

My personal tip would be to pick one short, simple resource (almost any will do) and stick with it until you feel confident in the techniques. Attempting to learn too much, too quickly can be confusing and frustrating. This free ebook is an easy, straightforward example:

Thank you, Diamond26, for sharing this awesome link!

I think calm.com is simply the slickest, easiest, best meditation resource on the Web, and I'm saying this as someone who has been meditating for > 14 years :)

    Wow! Thanks!

Just saw this thread and I thought I would put my two cents in...

I've been reading a book lately called "Search Inside Yourself" a book written by a Google engineer. It's focused on using meditation to improve emotional intelligence and applying it to both work and personal life. Could be useful for students as well. It doesn't have anything to do with meditation for sexual health, but I find it very interesting and has been useful for me. Written in kind of a cheesy way, but it makes it easy to read and understand.

As others have said, there are many resources. I found this to be a great intro...
    http://www.getsomeheadspace.com

There is also a TED talk by the founder...

Not sure where you live, but you might loo around for somebody running a mindfulness based stress reduction course. I found it life changing. A good yoga teacher would also be helpful.

    I hope these help.

Im not sure if anyone has said this yet. If so my bad.
Its a book called Meditation by Eknath Easwaran. Its an excellent read. I literally knew almost nothing about meditation. I read this book twice and I have been meditating every morning ever since. It guides you through what it is and how to "do" it. Its the best beginners book for it. Im now reading a book by him called Dialogue with Death. Also a fantastic book.

If you check out headspace and get free 10 days you can just listen to them though it's inly 10 ninutes each session but it teaches you well in how to get to the mindful state
