New Hardcore Group accepting Initiates: F.I.N.A.O.

This group is created only for those who are determined 100% on giving up PM and O only with a partner. It will remove members who relapse, in other words only those with a strong will survive or remain. They will be allowed to rejoin after a period of time. This group will be known as the FINAO. All genders are welcome, and all are welcome to join.

    Rules are:

1-) Any type of PMO and you are out no excuses.
2-) Must keep a daily or weekly journal
3-) Help other members on the group
4-) Have a military approach to trying everything in the arsenal to prevent relapses
5-) Participate in group weekly education on various subjects related, or even unrelated to PMO
6-) Help out the whole community

If you think you got what it takes apply to join the FINAO group of nofap.org!

We will encourage all members on tactics for self improvement in everyday life. Only members who don't relapse will be active at a time, as some relapse spaces will open for new members, and of course even as the moderator of the group if I relapse I will quit, no aristocracy here.

If you would like to join tell us why you think you are a good fit, and go to the link of the group and apply to join.

    The link is http://www.nofap.org/forum/group.php?groupid=37

We urge all those sending join requests to first comment on the forum about why you would like to join, and what you can contribute to the group. Thank you!

I am an experienced no fapper, but have had a few relapses in the past few months and would like to get back on track. I only discovered this site a few weeks ago and have been lurking but never posted. My previous best was 158 days without PMO, which ended about a year ago, failing on the 158th day with just MO, however, after this I managed another 30/40 days fapping without P. Therefore, I know what it takes to go the distance with this, and consider myself willing and able to be able to help others.

My main reason for wanting to join this group is to get back on track myself, and beat my previous record, ultimately with the aim of never fapping again.

Not really a case of all welcome to join if it's only limited to 20 spaces! Surely a better idea to open up to everyone?

Hello friends. I didn't mean to come up as inflexible, as of course may know I have had my relapses. However, to be truly PMO free, we look forward to no more relapses, and most of us would like to be PM free for the rest of our lives. This is a hardcore group of the nofap.org family. The true purpose is that this will be the group for those that have accomplished in truly rebooting, to the point that numbers on a counter is past history. I believe that no relapses would be the goal in most people on this forum and this group is the support to help us all get there. Perhaps if that's not an individual's goal, this group is not for them, as it is not for everyone. Call it boot camp if you must, however it does have high standards and these standards must be up-kept for the reputation of the group. The true intention is to not have relapses, its a strong iron will, I have conviction that I will not relapse, and if I do I will surrender the group to the person that has lasted the longest without a relapse. It is a system of hierarchy, and we are the elite. It is dynamic, and that is why there will be people coming in, and those who relapse will be coming out. See no offense in this group it i just a second layer of protection and support that we hope to bring those who join.

Thank you for your post, I have already approved your join request. You surely do bring a lot of experience to this group. Your determination to never fap again is what makes you a good fit for this group. I will send you a prvate message with more information.

Your point of view sounds reasonable, perhaps for the recruitment phase the spots will be unlimited, afterwards however those who relapse will be eliminated, and the available spots will be reduced. It is a good way to give everyone a fair shot and maintain the 'difficultness' of the group. I am sure that is not a word lol. You are welcome to join. I am not in any way trying to say that anyone is better to anyone, this group will go to the hands of the one who persists till the end, and those warriors who do not relapse will remain as the members. I am just a tool in getting this put together. I will be kicked out if I relapse too. We are all equals.

I want to join too. And as far as spots go, how about this; anyone can join, but if they relapse, they must leave the group and can't rejoin. In the end it would indeed be a group of the successors, a group that could help others with their experience.
But anyways, as far as my experience goes, I've had my fair share of relapses. I started a new journal yesterday, or last night, and I've declared this as my last round, the last lap, I'm 100% committed now. And really, I've only gotten to see the tip of the iceberg, with my PR being 3 weeks, and even that short amount of time I could see big changes taking place. So I'm all in. And I'm definitely for having a military approach with this.

I'm down. I just relapsed for the third time after a streak of about 28 days and I'm sick of it. I'm putting my life on hold for cheap thrills. It's unfair to my friends, my family, to my future gf/wife, to my colleagues, students, and athletes, to the people in theis community like william and LustFREE who have done their best to help me stay the course, and ultimately to myself. No more.

I've already wasted enough time and should have, could have, would have. I have my goals, I know the tools, I have the resources. This group, and well as journaling, I feel, will force me to have another level of discipline and accountability. And I'm craving that right now more than anything. Let me in. I want to start by at least making it to Easter, and then continuing on from there.

I think this next year for me is going to be a critical point in my life. If I don't get over this now, I feel like it's never going to happen and I'm going to miss some key windows of opportunity. Right now, failure really isn't an option.

I'm in Salvage. I like stuff like this. Hardcore. No games. Failure is not an option. I've been too easy on myself too long. Let's do this.

  12. Salvage - you refer to the members of this group as, "the elite". This distinction is divisive, creating an arbitrary 'us and them' dynamic. If you want to do what you have outlined, fine. But do not refer to it's members as "the elite".

Absolutely. It's a contradiction to talk about not wanting to come across as better than anyone else and all being equal on the one hand, and then keep talking about this group only being for the 'elite' on the other.

How do you plan on helping those that have relapsed if they aren't allowed in the group? In an ideal world, those that haven't relapsed in the longest will be best served by offering encouragement to those who are relapsing (i.e. the ones that need them most) - and not reinforcing the message that they are 'better' than them, and so they aren't allowed in the group.

Echoing the above, I understand the idea of a support group, but the way this comes across to me seems to be the antithesis of what this place is all about.

In order to try and be a little more constructive, what about an idea of an open group, anyone can join, anyone can rejoin after relapsing, but the 'leader' as it were is the member who has served longest, until he decides to step down or relapses, and then it hands over. Just don't forget we should all be here for the same purpose.

  14. "How do you plan on helping those that have relapsed if they aren't allowed in the group?" I agree with omarcoming that this is a problem. It is bad enough ashamed and demoralised after edging, masturbating or using porn, without being summarily dismissed by "the elite!"

Hello guys, I was sleeping lol north American time. I have humbly edited my posts and changed elite to hard-core. That was definitely the original intention. The group is by no means a way to cause division in this great community where we are all family. As for your suggestions they seem reasonable and will be effective immediately. All members are welcome to join, the main purpose of this group will be as a support for the community but also for the group. Members who relapse will be allowed to rejoin but only after waiting a period of time. That specific period will be up for vote. Thank you all, I apologize for I realize that it sounded divisive at first, however what I am truly proposing to us all is a great challenge, and I can see the potential of FINAO. I am open for suggestions, and once again we are all the elite and I honestly believe so.

The idea of the leader of the group being that who hasn't relapsed was the intention from the beginning.

Personally I created this group because I have been fighting this for 10 years. I want to quit for life, not just for a certain number of days. I want to be able to appreciate the small things in life and give back to those I love. This group was made with the intention of giving back to the community that has given me so much. Again it will be open to everyone, and they may rejoin after a while (including myself) but I want this group to up keep its exceptionally high standards, to create a sort of game, friendly peer pressure you may call it.

I'm totally up for this! After past relapses I took a very militaristic approach and it's working so far.

Great perhaps you can share with us what some of your strategies have been? I am a big fan of the do 10 pullups on the first temptation..Sometimes straight to a cold shower, leaving the bathroom door open, calling a friend, reading the bible, and of course the forum.
