Prostrate cancer

    I read an article some where which said excessive masturbation put one at a high risk of prostate cancer and also low sperm count. Does anyone have some ideas on these? how true is it?

    I don't know anything about cancer, but low sperm count makes sense to me.

    Each time you ejaculate, millions of sperm leave the body and need to be reproduced. I would suspect that the body may not be able to keep up reproducing sperm if the person is constantly ejaculating, leading to a low sperm count.

    I had a low sperm count 7 to 10 years ago. I blame chronic masturbation.

    I don't know whether it is true or not but if it is true then I have a very solid reason to quit PMO...I don't wanna die because of cancer...! :(

    Its not worth not scare-mongering or being scared about it without the hard facts to establish if it is a cause.

    Masturbation is a dirty habit in itself, if it helps you deter yourself from PMO then that's fine for your own personal beliefs. Some good can come from old wives tales, but we don't need to be running around burning witches for throwing salt over our shoulders walking under a ladder.

    My two younger children were conceived through in vitro.

    Fertility issues can cause real tension in a mariage.

    My oldest child was conceived naturally, while preparing for the in vitro process. He has Autism.

    I think that constant ejaculating affects sperm quality as well as sperm quantity.
