19-year-old who has never masturbated

Here's a 5:50 video interview with a young man, age 19, who has never masturbated and who seems happy and well-adjusted. (No, he's not asexual.) Perhaps he can be an inspiration to some of us who are quitting or have quit the practice. Either way, it's an entertaining video.

 

If we find it so beneficial to stop, and if some of us have succeeded in stopping, then why is it so unbelievable that he, with the right mindset and guidance from his brother since before puberty, just never started? I do believe him.

 

I've never personally know anyone who claimed never to have masturbated; but neither have I personally known more than a very few people who openly discussed their masturbatory practices at all. I read on the internet about a young adult man in America who claimed never to have had any kind of orgasm, because he was raised to believe that to do so except with a wife or a concubine (slave woman) is a "transgression" in his strict Muslim belief system. In India, some pre-adolescent boys are sent to live and grown up in traditional akharas (virtually cloistered all-male schools that feature highly regimented lifestyles of physical training, wrestling, diet, and total celibacy, typically until age 25). Many of these young men have never masturbated, because they are trained since before puberty that they must never do it, and because they never get much opportunity.
