What Should I Do?

    So before I was just stuck at home every day all day due to several reasons I've explained in the past. Caused depression, anxiety, loneliness, etc.
    However, recently, as of Nov 4th, my stepdad has been in the hospital with a calapsed lung. It has caused stress on my mom and I. We visit him in the hospital every day from morning to night. So my schedule changed from waking up, being on the computer all day long (again several reasons, it's not just because I'm lazy), and then go to bed. The schedule changed to get up, get ready, visit him at the hospital, get home, computer for an hour or 2, bed.
    Weirdly enough, this is also the happiest I've ever been, probably due to just getting out of the house, something I've needed for quite awhile.
    10 days is the longest I've gone without porn, I'm nearing day 8 and getting very strong urges. What should I do?

    Well, got some stress today. Didn't even know it was possible, but my stepdad was able to be abusive towards my mom while he was sick in the hospital. It really is very hard not to do this right now.
     
  6. You need your strength. Stay strong through the night. Remember to breathe deeply. How will you be able to cope and stand strong after losing energy. Dont give in.

    It's difficult. It really is difficult with the amount of stress we all have. We also just found out there is a negative balance in the bank account, and since he's in the hospital, I can't drive and my mom is disabled, nothing can be done until he's out. And I believe they are planning surgery for him now as they tried to clamp the tube in his chest and his lung started shrinking right away, meaning the hole is still there. If they do the surgery, there is at least 1-2 weeks before he's out of the hospital. I really don't know what we're going to do.

    I'm sure the hospital could work out some sort of payment plan. I could be wrong but I'm sure they would work with you guys. If I may ask, what caused the collapsed lung? Also I know all to well about negative bank balances. Mine is actually negative right now too. It sucks man I know. Things will work out in the long run, they always do. Stay strong buddy!

    A very good technique is called watch the urge. You can test it during the day in other sectors. When you are feeling hungry try and notice the sensation of hunger, don't act on the sensation just notice it.

    Breathing, to support SolidStance, and exhaling slowly is really important. Somehow, I also forget to breathe out, but if you can remember it will help. Aim for 12 and under breathes a minute. It has a good affect on self control because it affects your vagus nerve. Meditation has a similar effect because it helps your heart get stronger(The stronger your heart the more you will be able to control the urges) Exercise will also boost your will power and help you kick the habit.     I'm sorry but what are you talking about? Not trying to be rude but your response doesn't really relate to anything I've said. Did you mean to send that to me or someone else? I appreciate the response, but I don't really get what you're talking about.

    Not exactly worried about the hospital bill as much as I am on how we're supposed to pay the electric or food. But yeah, the way hospital bills have worked around her is if it's not paid in full within 90 days, even if you're making payments it goes into collection and negatively effects your credit every month until it's paid off, it's horrible.
