Fapping befor sleeping

    The hardest time for me not to fap is before I go to sleep. When I lie in bed I often think on M and my body reacts to it. For me it is almost impossible at this time not to M otherwise I can't sleep. Any helping advices how I can go asleep without M. Thanks :)

    Do something else. If you're not tired enough, just go play video games or watch netflix or something. If you're dead tired, you can definitely fall to sleep without having to fap. Good luck!

    I agree with keepfishing92, but personally, I won't do anything that involves a screen close to bedtime if I can help it. Blue light emitted from computer and tv screens can seriously screw with your sleep cycle. I recommend trying these activities instead:

    1) Read. I love science fiction and would recommend Isaac Asimov's Foundation novels.
    2) Meditate. Either lying in bed or sitting in a chair, relax and focus on your breathing. Let your awareness and your breath drop to just below your belly button. Try not to think about anything else.
    3) Think about something so non-sexual that you lose your horniness.
    4) Kegel exercises.
    5) Cold shower.
    6) If you absolutely must use a computer screen, try downloading a program that blocks blue wavelengths of light. I don't know if they work, but F.lux is a good example of what I'm talking about.

    I use to be the same Novize. unfortuntely there's no secret method to control this urge, it just takes A LOT of self discipline. Just ignore your hard on, kick your legs if you have to, watch something or read till you fall asleep. Be physically active during the day, go to the gym if you can before sleeping. Use all that energy you have, don't waste it on an orgasm. Trust me, you won't regret it.

    Also, I recommend you find someone here to be accountable with (that really helped me). And whenever you have a crave, maybe late at night, just message him, write an email, or chat. I did that several times and it helped.

    For me it's much healthier to fap for 20 minutes (if im horny) than to play video games.

    I suggest you stop trying to stop fapping alltogether but fap as a reward after work. You will see how great you will feel. If you fap before work it's bad because it takes your energy, but if u fap after work or before sleep there is nothing wrong with it, it's even very useful as a reward.

    Really not the best answer to make in a place where we are all trying to get rid of P, M & O all together.
    I'd play some videogames or read a book rather than having to marry my right hand. ;)

    In the past, I listened to music while trying to fall asleep. It also helps, as other people have said to go to bed dog tired. I understand that sometimes that may not be an option because if you're getting up early the next day you don't want to go to bed at two. I'd suggest reading, listening to music, posting on this forum, or reading motivation nofap stories before bed. That should get you past the first few weeks.

    I use F.lux. It works great for me and I felt that it really helped improve my sleep.

    Additionally, if you have an android phone I highly recommend getting "Twilight". It's pretty much the same thing as Flux for phones and is more important than Flux because people these days (including me) tend to check their phones a lot right before sleeping or while lying in bed

    Unfortunately I don't think iPhones have something similar. I think it's simply not possible for applications to have direct access to the phone framebuffer on the iPhone, which is why

    Try listening to some music, or try doing bed dives (similar to stage dives, done only on your bed). :)
