Hey Guys, just want to send a shout out to Mark; he made his 90 challenge today. I suggest anyone in here who truly is quitting porn, that is getting it completely out of their lives, as opposed to trying to keep it in but control it, read his posts. His story, his philosophy of quitting and his method--yes, you need a method to quit--are inspirational. He has just accepted the position of "moderator", so, any newbies with questions, he can guide you to some answers.

    Congratulations Mark!

Keep going. Porn is not an option.

Thanks William for pointing it out. I almost had forgot. He does deserve a big shout.

Congratulations Mark. May the lessons and wisdom that you gained from nofap help you and guide you to conquer new and higher peaks.

Cor blimey! Thank you so much for that, it means a lot:eek: (And I bet nobody even knows who Mark is!! "Eh, Mark who?!?":D) You know I came here to help and be helped. Well I've certainly been helped and it warms my heart to think I've helped others in any way whatsoever and thank you for all your mutual help, support, guidance etc.

One of my first posts on this site was to say how impressed I was at the way people conduct themselves here. Yes were all human with differences etc but the general feeling of cooperation and commitment to mutual growth and development is staggering and and special thanks to Alexander for creating this wonderful resource in the first place (God this is starting to sound like an oscar acceptance speech so I'd best end it quick!!:D)

Let me just quickly share something I added to another thread yesterday...

'Yes I hit the big nine O tomorrow ;-) and even though I'm very pleased with that I guess I remember passing my driving test and thinking I was king of the road and within 24 hours nearly causing a pile up on a roundabout because I couldn't remember if I was to give way to my left or right (still dont sometimes!!!) I also remember passing my black belt in aikido and thinking I had it all 'under my belt' so to speak and within six months my teacher wryly observed that I had successfully managed to do what many others do at that stage and when I asked him what that was he replied that I'd gotten "slack at black" which hurt because it was true as my commitment had waned significantly. So if I could be bold enough to give one tip (for my own benefit as much as anyone elses) it would be to enjoy the 'ongoing' journey of transformation you have chosen to be on and never seek to 'arrive'. The Tao Te Ching says that 'a thousand mile journey begins with one step' and we've all heard that one but it also says that 'a good traveller has no destination in mind' and I wish that was quoted more often.'

So I guess that bottom quote in my signature rings truer than ever (for me at least) right now, no matter where we are in our journeys, and we gotta just keep pouring all we can into each and every step because this is NOT a rehearsal, this IS your life! (cue red book and theme tune- for those of us old enough to remember that!)

Many many thanks chaps, am touched. Keep helping. Keep healing. Keep growing. Keep going!!

Sincere thanks again chaps and just a quickie to say that if I'm a little quieter than usual on here for a short while it's not that I've lost interest or anything it's just that I've got a few extremely pressing work and home issues that I really need to concentrate on for the next couple of weeks. I'll still be around, just quieter until I get sorted. Many thanks again for the kind words and support, all massively appreciated:eek:
