    What kind of bodily, emotional or sexual side effects can one expect to find after going 2 weeks without PMO? I've heard of flatlining but is there anything else? I just want to stay on my toes and not get caught off guard by something. Any reply is appreciated, thank you.

    For me, the hardest period was between days 14 and 21. For the first 7 days I didn't feel anything, then starting from day 7 to 14, I started getting hornier by the day, until it reached a maximum at day 14 which stayed at that level for one week. You will experience an extreme feeling of arousal. I noticed it as a feeling of pressure in the chest. Be prepared that the next period will be extremely difficult, but as the saying goes, the sun will always shine after rainy days. Just push through it, and know that after the brain throws the worst it has at you, it will become easier.

    Physiologically, in this period you will experience what are called withdrawal symptoms. The brain will be really low on dopamine, and it will try to trick you do to anything to get its hit of dopamine. My advice is to stay away from ANYTHING that gets you even more aroused. The brain will try to trick you, to rationalize with you, into watching things that you consider to be safe, but don't fall for that. Anything that makes you aroused is causing a dopamine release, so make sure to stay away from ANYTHING that makes you horny, not just hardcore porn. I remember William saying that when he was quitting porn, swimsuit bikini models were arousing for him, although previously, when he was watching porn, it didn't trigger him, so in the end he had to stop watching them.

    If you do find yourself getting aroused and don't know what to do, there are a couple of techniques:
    1. take a cold shower. it will instantly kill any erections and the horniness
    2. go to public places. being alone in the room/house is the perfect condition to relapse, so try to get yourself out of that situation. go have a coffee, meet up with a friend, go to cinema, go to a bookstore, shopping, long walks, working out, running in the park, hitting the gym
    3. get away from internet access, pc or smartphone; leave them at home, and do step 2
    Sometimes you'll have to do all 3 in one day just to survive.

    Flatlining, if its going to happen, its gonna happen much much later, so don't count on that. To recover, to heal your brain from this addiction you need to experience the withdrawal symptoms. Actually, going through withdrawal is the clear and definite sign that you are recovering, so embrace it, love it and look forward to it.
