So I'm joining a fraternity and they obviously glorify sex. I'm a virgin at 24 years old and although I talk to girls I'm still super uncomfortable and I don't get how these guys do it so easily. I've stopped masturbating 5 days ago and I plan on continuing this because I dont wanna be lame my first time. At the same time, I feel like I'm failing as a man and as a human being. I feel alone and vulnerable. How do you get past these feelings? Because all I want to do when I feel like this is masturbate or drink

As a third-world man, I never understood the fraternity things. Is it true that they only exist so people can act like feral animals, be loud, have sex and humilliate each other and everyone outside the fraternity?

I feel you need a spiritual reboot. Your soul is depleting. Every time you relapse you form a firmer and deeper loop. Your positive energy will covert to negative energy and slowly you will be trapped in this vicious cycle. There will be no way out for you. You will hate yourself more than ever. Remember we need to love ourself first and only then we can live the life. I recommend you to get a spiritual awakening, something as simple as going to a holy place (based on the religious belief) or praying once everyday. All the best for your journey. Everybody is with you

    Welcome to the Nofap community.
The NO PMO journey is not easy but worth the effort.
    The community will support you.

You are not alone. I feel myself not religious, not spiritual, not esoteric. I feel as a human being who has a heart and a soul. When I was young, especially at the age of 14-23, I had a lot of depression and constantly wanted to commit suicide. Thanks God it didn’t happen. Since many years I feel a lot of gratitude and appreciation for being alive. I know I am M addicted and Nofap supports me to get rid of the addiction. There are many wonderful people in the forums.

Good luck for your journey! You will make it. And if there is a relapse - don’t run away and make a new start. All is well.

  7. Heyyy welcome to the NoFap forum : ) It's nice to see you here fighting the good fight alongside us!

    Here is just some advice:

First and foremost please take a look at each section in the forum, there might be something(s) you may find of big help to you. Feel free to post there :+)

Then secondly I just strongly advise you to be active on your profile(as there quite a few active people in the profile section). Please start by choosing an avatar and then make daily status posts to show you're active and needing support/encouragement. They've also got a neat little feature that shows freshly posted statuses for all users to see. People will find your profile and give you encouragement/support.

People (are beginning to) love communicating in the profilesection..(it should be and is )mostly spportive talk but it doesn't hurt to deviate from supportive talk. It would be great to have you join in and support others in the threads, profiles, and journal, we could always use your help and in return you shall receive some as well!

Thirdly, You should also highly consider creating a public journal and write about your days in more depth for us members to follow along your journey and offer support to you by way of posting in your journal.

Last but not least: Good luck on your journey here, make sure to really give it a try with all your heart!
