Im getting jacked.

    I lift weights regularly. I probably have put on 10 pounds of muscle in the last 2 years. I started with a thin build. Lately I feel like Im really packing on muscle. I've abstained from PMO for the last 35 days. I'm just curious whether nofap has had this effect on anyone else? I'm also breaking a bunch of personal strength records in this period.

    You're in a groove. No matter what DO NOT CUT. Keep eating and training don't worry if you gain a little fat. I was 182 lbs and I deadlifted 500, squated 405, and benched 340. And then I decided to cut, ruined everything, Im not weak now by any means, but Im nowhere near the level I was. Finding that groove is hard to do, don't lose it.

    I am very interested on this, as I have been struggling to put on muscle in the last couple of years, and keep the hope of making more progress after quitting PMO.

    Can you attribute the boost to NoFAP? In which way? Did other factors change too maybe?

    I did bodybuilding in my twenties and also doing it now.
    I am making a breakthrough after breakthrough especially the last 6 weeks.
    Posture fixed. I like what i see in the mirror.

    It has to do with nofap for sure .
    Nofap will stop the energy leakage. It will allow you to fine tune your brain.
    It is not placebo , it is a fact.
    Nofap and bodybuilding go hand in hand.

    I made all my gains when I was in the thick of my PMO addiction. I hit puberty and I started lifting and jerking lol. I was 5'4 130 lbs freshman year and 5'10 182 lbs senior year with great numbers, all while PMOing 3 times a day. So I don't believe the whole "energy sapping" shit. But mentally Im pretty god damn fucked up right now.

    I lift 3 times a week. Legs and shoulders one day, chest and tris, then backs and bis. I do pushups and pullups nearly everyday. I bike like 2 or 3 times a week.

    The only changed factor is a little more consistency. My last long streak, I seemed to be packing on muscle too. That's why I'm curious if anyone else has had similar results.

    Yes yes and yes. It does make a difference. I used to work out regularly 5 days a week until a few years ago and then really slacked off. I lost about 15 pounds of muscle and a little chubby around the love handles but no where else.

    I am trying to get back into working out regularly but haven’t made it back yet, the bottom line, my chest, shoulders and arms are really filling out. Don’t get me wrong I’m not jacked. But I’m more than average for sure. It has to be because of NoFap. Nothing else has changed.

    Im not trying to be pushy, but you should do fullbody 3 days a week, then your hitting all your muscle groups 3 days a week instead of hitting them once a week.

    I have a girlfriend. She's a little shallow. She does seem to be more in the mood.

    Okay, so lifting to get a girl is a moot point for you since you already have one. A lot of guys like to use the lifting meme as primary catalyst to land a girl even if thats a bit misguided.

    I disagree actually. It’s not really good to hit major muscle groups more than twice a week usually. Give your muscles time to rest and recover, except for abs, tear them rascals up!

    Push day, pull day and leg day, 45 minutes crazy intensity. That's what I do currently. If I feel strong I go 4 times a week, otherwise 3 days.

    Growing up in the gym I always did each muscle group once over 5 days and rested on the weekend.

    Anyone will tell you thats not the way to do it. As young guys our muscles repair in 48 hours. If you do full body monday night, by wednesday night your muscles will be ready. I grew up in the gym too, ut I also talked to the experienced lifters there and learned a thing or two. "Don't over train your muscles, except abs" that makes no sense dude. I do a push pull legs routine twice a week, 6 days and I hit every muscle twice a week.
