Is Masturbation a normal thing ?

Discussion in 'Abstinence, Retention, and Sexual Transmutation' started by Amarion, Jun 13, 2018.

  1. Tell them they are pathethic and weak.

But seriously, dont care about it. Do what you do. Do it for yourself, dont listen to them and dont try to change their minds.

  2. Animals kills their children.
We should too, because its natural, if we should listen to such logic.

Good point, its like everyone thinks that if its natural we should accept it. Rattlesnakes are natural shouldn't we live together? haha

It's a normal thing for the fallen flesh like murder is, just tame it or you'll reap the consequences.

No because if you observe third world countries where survival is key. That would reflect prehistoric human societies quite accurately minus and/or add a few characteristics. You notice they generally exhibit low levels of sexuality, or even referencing of sexual thought. In fact from where I was born, you could shower literally in public fully naked well into teenage years, and majority of people wouldn't even care. Here in America we like to call ourselves "civilized," lol but honestly we tend to behave more like animals than those who live amongst animals.

I agree with those who think it's normal. Most men do it, and many women. And I think we all know how hard it is *not* to do it when real sex isn't available, or sometimes even when it is. Even animals do it.

Periodic sexual release also seems to be necessary for our health. Frequent ejaculations are associated with a lower risk of prostate cancer. And I just learned that those who have sex less than once a week have twice the risk of developing impotence -- disturbing indeed.

As far as I can tell, the real problem is porn. We didn't evolve with photographic images of women. It overstimulates us, and makes some of us masturbate to excess. I'm PMOing to break the porn habit, but once it's done, I'm hoping that I'll be able to masturbate on a more reasonable schedule as long as I stay away from porn. Time will tell!

Dude check the scientific journal that says ejaculation now and then is healthier, because it reduces risk of prostate cancer. When looking at Journals the thing you have to watch is who publishes, the quality of the publisher, and who did the study, who funded the study. If you actually look into the journal that says this, its a bloody joke. Just like you have studies telling you that reservatrol is actually good for you. Complete nonsense. Any person trained in metabolism knows that phenols go right through the system. There hasn't even been any further proof even backing up that claim.

Found this and looks like there were multiple studies, but the results were conflicting:

Yea this is a great article thanks man. This basically sums up everything. There is literally no conclusion.
2016 study: Great study. But the numbers of less likely to develop prostate cancer are small...19% less likely to have incidence of prostate cancer if you ejac. more than 21 times per month, rather than 4-7 times per month for ages 20-29.
2004: 11% less likely to have incidence of prostate cancer if you ejac. more than 21 times month for ages 20-29.

But then again you have to ejaculate 21 times per month or more..so basically have a really high sex drive, or just watch porn 5.25x per week to combat oxidative stress in the genitals.

The Wiley studies are I feel nonsense. Whats the point of asking someone to remember their sexual past. The fact that its a questionnaire is bad enough, now you're also asking men in their 40-70s to remember sexual frequency in their 20-30's? or even worse in their initial sexual experience? The problem is that perception a lot of time is personal truth, just ask Dr.Phil. And based on factors, a lot of people have different perceptions on whats the ideal number. So, I mean this might take a while. For the total amount of people that did the first two studies 2016, 2004- the rate of cases was 12%, and 4% out of all the people in each study. So I mean, what pattern?

Hey guys If I did anything idiotically, lemme know. Always looking to improve.

I was still ejaculating every day, which puts me in the top percentile for my age. But I'm hoping it will be a lot less without porn! My urges have certainly died down, for the last four days they've been really mild.

Worried about that impotence thing, though -- I haven't checked it out to see how reliable the info is.

  11. "2004: 11% less likely to have incidence of prostate cancer if you ejac. more than 21 times month for ages 20-29."
There are milion factors that could contribute to the fact that the other group had lower rate.
There are milion people that does ejaculate frequently and develop prostate cancer.
And, who has time to ejaculate almost everyday? xD

  12. "A 2008 study found that frequent masturbation was only linked with a decreased risk of prostate cancer in men over 50. Researchers in this study found that men in their 20s and 30s who ejaculated more often were actually at an increased risk of prostate cancer."
"In contrast, a 2003 study from Australia found that men who frequently ejaculated as young men had a reduced rate of prostate cancer."
There is really not enough research to just claim that masturbating frequently is healthy for men.
Lower risk of prostate cancer is a myth. Reality is that studies are misleading, and we have not enough knowledge.
Furthermore, there is a big number of people who claim that abstaining from masturbation is beneficial for them.
Also I dont know anyone who masturbate everyday and feel like a God.
Also, since ancient times and more earlier, men abstinence was attributed to positive benefits, power, good mental health
