  7. Sure :) just keep yourself busy (mostly at the beginning, then urges will decrease). Personally I find being active on the forum very useful, I'd recommend that

What are you doing differently this time in order to succeed? What is your plan? And how is it better than your previous plans which failed?

M totally goin to avoid stuffs that have aroused me in the past! Even unfollowed some of instagrammers! Also would keep myself busy reading books or playin games. It is better because i have planned to log in NoFap the moment i feel like relapsing! Coming here and reading the story of people surely motivates me and then here i have many people who have motivated me in the past to overcome this addiction!!

How severe is your addiction? Your plan is basically to do it on your own. It's called white knuckling and rarely works for serious addicts.

In my case, I had to realize that I was not able to do it on my own. I tried a bunch of times and it never stuck. It's to easy to slip back into your old ways. What I would suggest...

    1. Therapy - addiction often starts as a way to cope with underlying pain/issues from childhood. If you can begin to identify and resolve your issues this will help you grow and move towards sobriety. A therapist who is trained in addiction counselling would be best. Many have sliding scales for their fees so it can be affordable for everyone.

    2. Community - you need many people involved in your recovery. The more the better. Addiction thrives in secrecy and shame. You need to connect with real live people (not just online) who will help and support you and hold you accountable. This should be done daily for the first few months at least. I strongly recommend a 12 step program like sexaholics anonymous. You will meet other people there struggling with the same issue (or worse). The 12 steps provide a framework for recovery and long term sobriety. You will get a sponsor who will guide you in recovery and an accountability partner for daily check in. You will have a group to share with and unburden yourself and get feedback. This will make your resolve stronger. I've gotten involved in a local chapter (didn't really want to - but made myself go) and it has been so helpful. I made 30 days yesterday and it was so much easier than any other time I have tried to quit.

    3. Lifestyle - you need to embrace and move towards a different lifestyle. A healthy active lifestyle. Not all at once but slowly over time.
Healthy Diet - whole food, cook for yourself, no processed shit, no sugar
Exercise - do something active everyday - even if only for ten minutes - conquer your inner bitch - get off the couch
Community - get involved, do something fun with people, or help people, just get out there and get connected
Less Screens/Media - less screen time = more happiness
