This is my first official day as a NoFap member. I have been trying to quit watching porn for the last 7 years. I usually can make it a month or two between relapses, and while its not terrible, I want 100%. I was working toward this goal even before I met who is now my wife who is also very supportive of the nofap goal lol. After my last relapse which happened inside a month of the relapse before that I decided to go the distance with a 90 day reboot. My son is due in two weeks so the no "O" will work well with my wife's timetable too, so it was perfect timing. Just two weeks in I can already feel a change and I am so so grateful I wanted to say thank you to the community. Honestly if I went the rest of my life without porn or masturbating I would be just fine with it. Definitely no porn! The biggest difference so far is that I am able to catch myself fantasizing and shut it down, rather than let it push me toward masturbation which pushes me to want more stimulation. Anyway my wife and kid are out of the house and I was feeling kinda fappy so I decided to go here instead and I am certainly proud to not have to delete my browsing history. Like most of us internet porn was a BIG part of my adolescence. I'm the first wave of millennials and my boomer parents had little to no idea of the accessibility, pervasiveness, or impact internet porn would have. I had no idea the impact it would have on my life when I was 14. Im glad to finally be rid of it. With the support of the community, the drive to succeed, and the new rebooted brain I have more hope now than I have had in years *years* Thank you NoFap! - When I reach out I want the hand of NoFap to always be there, and for that I am responsible.

  4. Heyyy welcome to the NoFap forum : ) It's nice to see you here fighting the good fight alongside us!

    Here is just some advice:

First and foremost please take a look at each section in the forum, there might be something(s) you may find of big help to you. Feel free to post there :+)

Then secondly I just strongly advise you to be active on your profile(as there quite a few active people in the profile section). Please start by choosing an avatar and then make daily status posts to show you're active and needing support/encouragement. They've also got a neat little feature that shows freshly posted statuses for all users to see. People will find your profile and give you encouragement/support.

People (are beginning to) love communicating in the profile section..(it should be and is )mostly spportive talk but it doesn't hurt to deviate from supportive talk. It would be great to have you join in and support others in the threads, profiles, and journal, we could always use your help and in return you shall receive some as well!

Thirdly, You should also highly consider creating a public journal and write about your days in more depth for us members to follow along your journey and offer support to you by way of posting in your journal.

Last but not least: Good luck on your journey here, make sure to really give it a try with all your heart!
