That isn't a PMO relapse, but I highly recommend not picking up another, even worse, addiction. I can't tell you what to do, but for your sake throw away the rest of that pack, I've lost a family member because of their smoking addiction. It's a terrible thing, quit while you're ahead.

I won't get addicted to smoking I'll only smoking occasionally when I'm out with friends.

  4. If addiction is that easy to control I expected you'll be PMO free forever starting tomorrow.

I was addicted to porn for 5 years. I only realised porn is an addition nearly 2 years ago. I only started smoking 6 hours ago. I obviously can control my smoking because I'm not addicted to smoking but as for porn it's harder I have a 5 year addiction which I need to work very hard at

"This is what I need this forum for.
Yesterday it was my cousin's birthday, we celebrated and then went out and smoked twice. Now I am in this loop that I must practice nofap with abstinence from all form of dopamine, sugar being an exception. The whole night I was troubled and in the morning I watched porn and fapped three times. I could not last a day.
Peeps PLEASE tell me what should I do, every time I smoke I become hard on myself and say to myself that "bro u r on a nofap, u smoked now you have to fap to porn so that it starts again all together from day 0", this has become a perpetual habit since last 6to8 months. What should I do? Is it an aftermath of successful nofap of few days or what"

"You see, when there is an urge to smoke I completely forget what my goals are what I want to achieve & everything, and in the aftermath after smoking I feel that now since I have smoked I have broken the deal now I am bound to watch porn.
I want to be comfortable being uncomfortable. I know everything what to do, how to do but I myself am not able to control myself."

The above two posts are from my journal. Post number #3 and #5.
Since then I have not smoked, abstained from PMO.
Go through my daily posts of the journal. A small journey of 42days aka 42posts, will motivate you, that yes people are doing it so will you. Comment on the posts if you like and motivate me.

Cigarettes are in every way worse than porn, I'm actually a 29-year-old former smoker that smoked continuously for nearly a decade. It was a miserable addiction and harder to quit than porn. But it seems like you're set on doing this for whatever reason.

Awwww dude. Stop now. It's way easier to quit now then when you have an addiction. I just quit about a month and a half ago after smoking for 18 years. I never thought I would smoke that long but its a vicious addiction and it's really easy to lose control.

I wanna add something to the smoking thing-- I quit because I worked with an emphysemic and that got me to never smoke again really fast. I kicked a 10 year full-blown addiction because I had never seen a disease that looked so miserable. Look at how miserable you are from porn. Now, even though with every passing year of being a porn addict it gets harder to regain what you've lost, you can still regain it. Smoking doesn't work that way. Every cigarette permanently decreases your ability to breathe. People talk about lung cancer like its the worst thing ever and the true reason to quit smoking-- at least lung cancer kills you, though. Emphysema is a disease where you literally suck on air because you can't get enough, and then choke on it, every single minute of your life (I almost typed waking life, but it affects your sleep too, so its even worse than that). Its also not curable, because its not a virus or a bacteria or a cancer. It's that you've literally irreperably removed parts of your lung that filter oxygen properly. So medicine probably won't solve that riddle in your lifetime.
I'm on NoFap because I realize how bad porn is, and yet if I had to choose to be some wet-blanket loser porn addict that dies alone, or someone who can't even breathe and also probably dies alone, I'd choose porn any day. Smoking sucks, and if you look at old people who smoke the effects are absolutely horrendous.

If you're a month and a half in, you're past the hard part. Throw them away. It's a stupid, stupid addiction, and after the 3 month mark you will truly see that and you won't ever have moments like this again. Also, there is no halfway to quitting smoking. You're either quit or you're not.

Well, I slipped and smoked two cigarettes. I was having a rough day and I thought it would help me feel better. I smoked one and then immediately had the fire in my belly for another so I smoked another. After thinking about it, I've decided I don't want to go back to smoking so I'm done. I hope I don't get those intense withdrawals I had in the beginning.

Famous last words. Some people can do that and become social smokers, some can't -- they just end up smoking more and more. It's largely genetic.

I think it's best not to replace one addiction with another. It took me many years to stop smoking. If you must, get a Juul and vape, it isn't as bad for you as smoking.

Nah, man. I started smoking again. I don't want to but that's what I'm doing. I hate this habit.

I'm on Day 3 of my first ever PM reboot. I'm also on Day 2 of Not Smoking. It's a bitch. I can't tell which one is making me twitcher: no fapping or no puffing! I was a smoker from around 16 to about 30. I stopped for over 15 years, but then due to some truly monumental shit that happened in 2018 I started smoking again. It was just a few puffs outside a pub, but it inevitably snowballed to 20 rollies a day to cope with the trauma I was going through, but it should have stopped months ago after resolving my problems. I'm so angry with myself because I've spent the last 6 years totally rebooting my fitness. I went from sedentary wheezing asthmatic to running 1/2-marathons in under 90 minutes and placing top 3 in 10k events, etc.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is: Don't let the Devil put your idle hands to work on smoking - do something else constructive with them.

Been there, done that. It usually takes several tries, from what I've heard.

One thing they say -- don't try to quit more than one thing at once. So maybe you should just do the NoFap now and the smoking later?

Yeah, man. I mean, I passed my 90-day mark over a month ago so I figured I could quit smoking too. I think the problem is that I tried to stack dieting on top of it. That's when the S hit the F.
