I love Prager U. They're a national treasure and I wish more people watched their videos.

  3. Prager "university" is a shitpile of bias and propaganda but I have to admit it is unfair to restrict their videos, regardless of how brainwashy they are.

Its unfair to restrict any appropriate videos of any viewpoint. Free speech.

Public forums also need moderation. There are TOS in place, and It’s Google’s way or the highway. I’m not familiar with PragerU, but my initial stance would be with the giant here.

Maybe in general, but this goes into policy and politics. If the media giants censor different political viewpoints, they would basically be forcing their own opinions on other people instead of enabling them to form their own. And suddenly, democracy goes down the drain.

Media giant have always had their own agendas, Way before Google even existed.

I think it’s a positive thing that TOS are enforced in a site as big as YT.

You should watch the video. Its not a good thing for public forums to impose restrictions on content they simply don't agree with.

As much of an issue Google and the giant tech monopolies have concerning censorship, giving it to the hands of Government is a worse idea. The only true solution here would be to put the anti-trust laws to good use, but good luck dealing with lobbyists and inside traders.

    The issue is very straightforward.

YouTube, Facebook, Twitter etc. are designated as "neutral public forums." That means 1) they must allow most content (except that which depicts pornography, suicide, violence, etc), and 2) they are legally protected against any litigation that might arise from content posted by one of their users.

But if they're not a neutral public forum--if they start acting as publishers who pick and choose what views they'll support or suppress--then they need to have their legal protections taken away.

Watch Ted Cruz ask Mark Zuckerburg this question, and see how Zuck dodges like Neo in the Matrix.
